I just wanted to share this video with you guys. I've cleaned up (as much as I could) my Commodore 128 that was purchased back in the mid-80s. I wanted to connect my 1571 to it, but sadly it was gone.

I figured I could use my Raspberry Pi to emulate a Commodore, but that is just not the same :)

I found a project on Github that emulates the commodore DOS and also contained a circuit diagram, which I built out on a breadboard and connected it to the Pi, and then the other end plugs into the diskdrive port of my 128.

It was late last night (1:30am) until I got all the code to build and run...I took a video of the first run of load"$",8. You can't see on the screen, but from the SSH console, the Pi is serving up a folder on it as device 8. I was thrilled. hehe.

The awesome thing is that the serial port is just as slow as I remember :)
