SACC has always presented at AmiWest, it's "classic" Amiga systems. (A1000,500,2000,3000, A4000)
Because we like our Amigas!

This year, I hope to add (for the first time) the AmigaOne G3 and G4 and Micro, but I don't have a A1-u.
Therefore, if anyone has one for sale...(cpu and motherboard with memory would be great)

Please contact me.

FYI, yes, I tried ebay and Amibay

You have a PM about a non-working one.

@SACC-dude

Make an offer via PM. The only problems mine has are that one side of the audio preamplifier is weaker than the other (requiring a balance control for the speakers) and I haven't kept up with the install media. (I loaned it to Pyromania and he updated it with his 4.1 disk but I only have 4.0 prerelease 2 media for it.) If money is tight, offer some classic hardware and I'll consider it.

@sellers

Any offers that do not get taken, I also might be interested.
And I would love to find a functional Peg2.

@iggy

One of my local amiga buddies brought the peg 1 and 2 up when I floated my display idea.
I never knew much about these machines.
Even though Bill Buck came to Amiwest and showed off his stuff. I never saw another Peg until a couple of years ago Eli brought one to Amiwest.
Since by the time Eyetech and the Peg company were going, there was no retailers in this part of the world to show to the local Amiga users.

There are no SACC members with Pegs of any sort.

Please tell me more about this machine!

@SACC-dude

Well, the primary reason behind the development of the Peg2 was to get rid of the MAI Logic Articia 'S' Northbridge.
This part, used in the Peg1 and all Eyetech boards, has a hardware bug built into it.
The Peg2 uses a Marvell Discovery II MV64361 Northbridge instead.

More info is available here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pegasos

The history behind all these boards can get a little confusing.
bPlan and Genesi had been negotiating for the right to develop a new Amiga OS and had a board design and an agreement to port MorphOS to that design, when Amiga Inc. gained the rights to the Amiga trademark.

Eyetech boards, developed to support Amiga OS4, are based on hardware very similar to the Peg1.

And so starts the split that many think of as a blue vs red divide.
Actually there is no real divide.
We are all Amigans.
And you will note that even though the Peg2 is a bPlan/Genesi design it is supported by Amiga OS4.

Well said!
I wanted to get more info, I will get more info.
My/Our real problem is that we can't show at AmiWest what we don't have. No one local has a Peg.

AmigaDave has presented MorphOS several times, but on older Macs.

And to tell the truth, I forgot that the Peg2 runs AmigaOS4.

I guess if I could find one, I would add it to the table at Amiwest. BTW, It doesn't have to be owned by me.

If anyone wants to show this machine at AmiWest2015... let me know!

@SACC-dude

Compared to my AmigaOne 500 / SAM 460 my micro is a dependable workhorse that never gives me any trouble. Can't say that about the A1-500. It's an endless source of frustration. Unfortunately the micro isn't very expandable / upgradeable. Sorry, it's not for sale. It sounds like you're creating a collection, not seriously using it.

@thinkchip

As one of the founding and continuing Amiwest committee and Sacramento Amiga Computer Club members. I always try to help setup displays that show off the Amiga in all it's forms for all to enjoy.

I found out that here ( in Sacramento) our small group did not have each and every "amiga".
So in order to be able to do a display, I sometimes buy stuff (that I can afford) to help.
As do others.
Our resources are all from our personal "collections" as it were.
