Normally its contacts on the expansion connector that need cleaning or power supply deficiency or timing issues fixed by replacing the capacitors or in some mobo revisions further modifications. _________________

I edited out my original post because I felt I over reacted but it sure looked dead.
The day before I just received Individual Computers scan doubler for my 1200.
Thought I might have some issues installing but went without a hitch.
So I figured I would attach my floppy emulator while there but couldn't get it recognized as Dos or something. No big deal, I decided to get a new battery for the RTG clock module that attaches to the 1232. Still seems funny while original owner said he never got around to it. What's it take , 5 minutes?
So do that and won't boot on multiple attempts. Take 1232 out it boots.
Come back to hours later and with the card in, starts like nothing ever happened.
So I contacted Jens and he suggested it might have been a short with attaching incorrecty. Sounds like he could be right, I did hear a strange cracking noise which thought maybe was snapping a piece off. Now in retrospect could that be the electrical short sound?
Anyways it is nice that Jens responded twice to me right away, didn't expect that.
After all my issues it is nice to have a good video display with scandoubler.
Not sure I have the courage to try RTG module again.

Odd indeed. I am glad everything worked out in your favour. I have several of Individual Computer's products and they work great. Really nice hardware.
