| So I finished one of the two A1k.org A500+ builds I am doing. For those interested in taking a look at the project as I completed it from start to boot up its all available here in this google shared album.
Enjoy!

I think they are sold out of them. It was a very limited built at a1k.org and you had to be a member in order to get an order in even.
If you are an a1k.org member you may still be able to order the kits. Its all in German and they wont reply back if you are not a member. It requires your forum username.

Thank you! It was an awesome experience. I have one more to do as well. This one wasnt mine, it was for a friend. Mine will be done a bit diffrently since I plan to fit a vampire on it and a few other things once its complete. I just need to take a break before I start it again.
I also have a ton of repairs piled up now since I took the time to do this one and put them all to the side! _________________ I do motherboard recaps and other enhancement/upgrades! Visit. www.acill.com or PM for a quote. |

What are you having to do differently with yours to fit a vampire to it? The vampire fits right into the CPU socket, correct? |

That's just plain cool ! And nuts at the same time to populate a board from scratch ! How much time did that take ?

Well I started with just the CIA chips and built those adapters you see on the two of them on thursday last week. Took about 30 minutes for those two. I put it away and got it all out again on Saturday about 6am, worked nearly all day and into the evening. i think I stopped at 9pm.
Sunday i got up at 5:30am and worked until 8am and went to church, restarted again at 2pm and was done by 6pm. Oh and all these chips were new old stock, not a single one was used. Same with all the ports and connectors. I forgot just how clean and crisp the video and audio is on a NEW Amiga. Its been like 20+ years since I was able to see this.
LOTS of hours.
As far as fitting Vampire you need to have the larger caps next to the CPU and to the left of Agnus lay flat so it doesnt hit and still be able to get the keyboard to sit flat and have the IDE CF card reader sit on it. If you use a riser it looks and fits a bit sloppy. I didnt want it sloppy so I will plan ahead as I built. Somethign you didnt have a choice in having to use a boring pre built A500, lol!
