Have you downloaded the most recent updates from Elbox's Web site? This includes the MM 2.5 update as well.

You then sell broken hardware, I would fix it first with...check your PSU, clean all the electronic contacts with allcohol etc.

You said your card worked ok, so you should check the other things I mentioned.


I struggled a lot wit Radeon cards (to get a compatible one) but now I have the compatible Radeon 9250 card in my Mediator and installation was painless on OS3.9.
AmigaOS4.1 detects the cards without the Elbox-drivers, only the right soundcard (only 1 card has native support) was a problem. But after buying a compatible one no problems with the support on the Mediator.

The Mediator is the first 1.0 version from 2001/2002 in a Mirage tower, it is stable and still till today 100% working without problems.

Well may have saved her. Had different ide adapter in my desktop A1200 changed amigakit buffered interface for the one from my desktop. Now it looks like 030 and bus board is seen in early startup screen. I have re install os3.1 will do os3.9 and cdrom driver Thursday. At the moment it's booting with mediator plugged in with no cards. Boot time is insane fastest I have ever seen about 3seconds.

Feeling a bit more confident this time. What is the best CDrom driver to use. Think I used asimcdfs on my desktop which worked ok.

I use Allegro CDFS, but you need an Elbox FastATA Board to use it (licesnsing reasons). A good standby is AmiCDFS. It's fast and is one of the most compatible for the Amiga OS. It works really well. It can be found on Aminet. Use the 030 version included in the archive.

OK I stick with that then as that's what I was using on my desktop A1200. Only thing with that one is it doesn't like it if the CDrom drive is not turned on when booting the Amiga as it causes workbench to boot up strange. I Will not have this issue in tower as it will be powered when Amiga is turned on.

Will be doing more tonight wish me luck LOL.

Asim CDFS all the way. Stick with it! The one included with AmigaOS 3.9 is rubbish!

Cant get it to see cdrom. using either amicdfs or amicdrom

what device should i use scsi.device ect ? also how do I know what unit number it is ?

I have CD drive set as slave and am using the ide interface Drewlio77 recommended which worked ok on my A1200 desktop.

Is there a way to disable fpu on ACA card. I have cdrom working by using CF card from desktop Amiga. But now when ever the mediator is enabled it freezes when running MMC config also frooze trying to install P96 if I remove ACA card it does not freeze but then I dont have enough ram to run MMC config. Im wondering if the FPU could be causing my compatibilty issues.

Another thing I have discovered is if I change it to 4mb on mediator it does not crash but then mediator config says it needs to be 8mb for the GFX I have picked which is a Radeon 9200
