Tabor looks FAAAAAAAST in comparison to speed of PowerPC emulation in WinUAE. My 350 EUR notebook reaches less than 300 MHz G3 performance (and there is no compositing, no 3D and slow 2D GFX and disk access). The day the Tabor is released, I will buy one. |
The expected price of 400€ looks good. And as the X1000 and X5000 boards showed, waiting for audio and Ethernet drivers may take a long time. I did not want to wait for Tabor, so I bought Pegasos II. Besides Warp3D Nova and RadeonHD have everything. |

Actually, I know someone who has one. What I'm curious about is how well the system supports big endian code.
And, can it support running both big endian and little endian code simultaneously (possibly on different cores)?

Ain't that pretty?
From what I understand, the hypervisor could enable sessions that are either big or little endian (simultaneously).

You really do have the attention span of a goldfish, don't you?
If you'd checked out the link you would have noticed that it pictured a board that has been shipped to a user, as in they exist.
Which, compared to Tabor, is an accomplishment. |

Actually, g01df1sh was talking about the Tabor, forgetting he was in the Talos's thread. _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz |
