| Amiga OS 4.1 is a new product, not a minimal upgrade to be.
Don't confuse the .1 instead of a theoretical 5.0 version. Many features are new and it feels like a complete re-design.
After all, there wasn't such an upgrade path as well for Amiga OS 4.0 to 4.1 when it was released for AmigaOne systems.

This year I expected Hyperion to do 3 things: Release OS4.1 for classic, Release Update 3, Release the latest version of OS4 on the commercial version for the X1000.
The first is now checked, on to the next :)

I've bought 4.1 for my A1 and 4.0 for my A1200 despite being a betatester at that time and thus having access to the latest versions for free. I know there was no upgrade path for the "OEM" version of 4.0 released for the A1, but 4.0 for the classic was a full standalone product. Just have a look around. Want to upgrade Hollywood? Pay for an upgrade. Want to upgrade Windows Vista to 7? Pay for an upgrade. Want to upgrade OS4.0 to 4.1? Pay full price!? Doesn't make sense. In any case, unless there will be something like 50% off (for a downloadable 4.1 for existing 4.0 owners) I will not be able to afford it. |

You dont need a 256MB Radeon a 128MB will suffice.
Running WB in 1680x1050 32Bit with compositing turned on WB reports ~100MB free on the Radeon.
BlizzardPPC is the only PPC that supports 256MB RAM (2x128MB) So look for 128MB Simms
