 Excellent drawers.

 @ Zorro

Personally I would prefer to have no shadows for as long as there is no proper alpha channel transparency support.

I must say, they look nice. :) Though I think they are a bit to big and look more like an "executive case", especially the wooden one.
Stll, I like them and I think one could build on this... :)

 | | I really liked the 3.5 iconset originally, so Im naturally going to vote for GadgetMaster's revamp of the drawer icon
For my 2 pence worth, I think we need this:

An api / patch for 32-bit icon images (eg PowerIcons) that can support alternate images. I've heard people argue why this would be a problem but all you really need is to create your two frames for the icon, vertically one above the other as a single image. A tooltype (or some other information squirreled away in a chunk in the png file) can be set that tells the patch "this is a double image icon. Show the top half when unselected and show the bottom half when selected."

Surely this cannot be so difficult to achieve

Alternate image icons are as much a part of the amiga look and feel as anything else and I personally prefer it to the "simply change colour slightly on selection" existing 32-bit icons, no matter how pretty they look

Shouldn't take more than a few minutes. BTW: While having thought about using this method in AROS for it's two state png icon support, at the moment we use an alternative way. Attach two PNG image files together (join pngimage1 pngimage2 TO pngicon.info). Was also easy to do. Just took a few minutes. This method has advantage that it should be backwards compatible to OSes which have only single state PNG icon support. PNG Images end with a IEND chunk, so it does not matter if you attach something else beyond that. Like a second PNG image.

Both ways have their advantages, so one could also implement both.

I don't have time now. Maybe later I can work on a set. In the mean time, anyone is free to use this idea.

I like that style of drawer Nicomen. I've dressed it up a bit though. It's a bit bigger than the traditional drawer, but it works good for higher resolutions.

Okay... I did a purple one too. I'm not sure what you mean by paint them like OS3.5 but I did a double drawer in more of the old color... is that what you were talking about?

 The purple colour

So, what about the color of the double drawer? I used a similiar color as the classic 3.5 on that one. I can do a single drawer with the double drawer color, is that what you mean?

Okay... I've updated the screenshot again. I think that is what you were thinking about. Look at the last one on the right side. It's labeled "classic" and has the long handle.
