Would be great to see these features folded into E-UAE.

Spent some time on the X1000 last Sunday and managed to work my way around setting up seamless UAE emulation for Amiga games direct from 4.1 which is working really well at the moment so would be good to see a latest version E-UAE to plug into this.

It would be great if E-UAE were as up to date as WinUAE, but I don't see how that is ever going to happen. Toni Willen has done a great job with others as well to continue work on WinUAE. I don't think Toni is working on E-UAE though, and I can't really blame him, as he does so much work already and can't really be expected to do more than he already does for our community.

Who would have believed so many years ago when WinUAE first started that it would be as advanced as it is today? There were many who said that it would never even work, and look at it now. Many now believe that WinUAE is, with all of it's settings and features, perhaps more compatible with all of the existing Amiga software that has ever been written, than any single model of the Real Commodore Amiga 680x0 computers.

Did you use ChrisH's "RunInUAE" setup software to get your X1000 set up to run Amiga 680x0 software seamlessly? That is one of the things I have wanted to do on my X1000, but have not taken the time to do yet.

We don't expect that Tony will backport his modifications to our E-UAE but atleast we can hope a direct port of PUAE that at the end it include many of the latest changes introduced in recent WinUAE snapshots

E-UAE borned with the same intention of the current PUAE but sadly at some point it was abandonated, more or less in 2007 so since then we still with the same outdated source ..

Yes and it is dead easy to do - just as with many things on the X1000 you have to hunt around for the docs on how to do it and have a play.

Basically you just need to run the RunInUAE program. At that point you need to set it up to point at the OS4.1 upd5 install of E-UAE. There is already a default setup file in this folder but it is set up as a 3.1 install which is no-good for old games. There are also setup files for other Kickstarts. Just set the 1.3 one as the default and you are good to go.

You can then take this a step further by setting up individual setup files for each program so that you have the best tweaks for every old adf you want to load. You do this by dropping the adf into the RunInUAE window that appears when you load RunInUAE.

I can already boot CD32 Cannon Fodder straight from the CD drive. There is a menu option in RunInUAE to boot from CD0:. For older games you can just double click on Turrican II or whatever and it loads totally seamlessly. E-UAE and RunInUAE are 2 excellent pieces of software.
