Excellent news. Any updates to classic browsers are always welcome. I'll give it a go when I get a chance,

This is SDL version of Netsurf, so it is quite much useless. It has nothing to do OS4 version of Netsurf. OS4 version has a native reaction based GUI, wich this version doesn't have.

SDL frontend is meant to be debugging only and it doesn't have original native amiga app "feeling",, no menus/no native gui etc. I don't no single SDL app/games that are usefull/joy to use with my 060 66mhz.

It is sad, because author of OS4 version has made a lot of work to make backporting to 68k Amiga OS possible, or even relatevily easy.

@utri007

http://wiki.netsurf-browser.org/Todo/AmigaOS_frontend#OS3_Support

Not sure if I've added/changed anything recently which would need adding to that list. The biggest job is probably 8-bit plotters. It does (or did) apparently already build for OS3 but there's a number of stub functions and nonsense defines to get it to that point.

Works OK on my WinUAE setup.

Content of resized window still doesn´t update automaticaly. My main browser on 68k remains IBrowse.

@Chris_Y

I saw a picture of the 68K version showing buttons with direct links. This is not available on the OS4 version. Correct?

I get alien corrupted colours in this version
I'm running in a 4000 with cyberstormppc, cybervisonppc, wb3.9 and cgx4.
Any ideas?
I've tousched the config file to change resollution and the same.

fb_depth is the color depth? Only works with 16 (corrupted) with 24 don't start.
Thanks

But my wb screen its 1280x1024@24bit.
The Netsurf opens another public screen but corrupted colours.
What can I do?
CybervisionPPC does not have 32bit colour mode.
Thanks in advance.

Try both Little and Big Endian 16bit Mode. Maybe One Works. Does netsurf Open own screen?

Sheesh, some people just can't keep from complaining. Personally, I'm thrilled that anyone even bothers to maintain a 68K version of Netsurf. Maybe a few words of encouragement for Artur Jarosik are in order. Maybe we'd have more 68K versions of our favorite programs if we had more encouragement, less whining, and more folks willing to take up development.

Keep up the good work Artur. It is much appreciated.

I really appreciate the huge work Arthur does and did - but maybe he's digging the wrong hole. Instead of porting one SDL concept after the other with more or less regular regression in functionality (i.e. unusable 16Bit modes with this version) it would have been better to implement (first) a native GUI framework (i.e. Chris' Reaction variant) as a base for all recent and future Netsurf versions.

Up to now it's more or less unusable and I stay with AWeb or IBrowse for the quick surf to Aminet or Amigworld.net with my A2000's...

Correct. However there is a "Hotlist" menu for quick access which isn't present in the SDL/Framebuffer version.

I could add a button bar. Is that a feature request?

How I can change between LE and BE?
Yes, Netsurf opens her own screen.

The previous version was working slow but fine here ...

Good news everyone :)

The work on javascript support has just begun.

About colors, I didn't notice that it is broken as I use 32 bit.

I will try to fix in near future.

Sorry for any inconvenience.
