A-EON acquires exclusive RadeonHD ownership Underlining our commitment to supporting AmigaOS graphics development
Cardiff 28th July, 2016
A-EON Technology Ltd is pleased to announce that is has acquired exclusive ownership of the RadeonHD source and binary code for AmigaOS 4.x. The agreement with developer Hans de Ruiter transfers all existing and future RadeonHD intellectual property rights to A-EON Technology and underscores our commitment to supporting AmigaOS graphics drivers for our AmigaOne systems and compatible hardware.
Over the past 5 years we have funded the continuous development and improvement of the RadeonHD driver under an exclusive licensing and distribution agreement with Hans de Ruiter. During this period, numerous updates have been released and the latest versions of the driver support a wide range of RadeonHD and Radeon Rx graphics cards.
Most recently the RadeonHD driver has become an integral part of the ever growing Enhancer Software distribution for AmigaOS4 platform.
The main features of the RadeonHD driver includes:
* Support for a wide range of RadeonHD graphics cards from the RadeonHD 2xxx-7xxx series through to more recent Rx series * Provides 2D graphics acceleration, including compositing for allsupported graphics cards under AmigaOS 4.1 * Supports output via VGA, DVI & HDMI * It's 3D ready and provides access to the GPU for the development of 3D drivers through Warp3D SI and Warp3D Nova * Support for AmigaOne AmigaOS next-generation machines and compatible models.
We asked Hans de Ruiter for his comments on the RadeonHD technology transfer. He said: "A-EON have already been funding continued development of the RadeonHD driver, so giving them complete ownership was the logical next step. Ownership gives them complete freedom to continue its development regardless of my involvement. I'm confident that its future is secure in their hands."
The acquisition of the RadeonHD rights, together with our ongoing work on Warp3D Nova and Warp3D-SI and our financial support for the complimentary development of OpenGLES2 underlines our ongoing commitment to supporting AmigaOS graphics development.
Specifications & Requirements*
Support for most graphics cards in the RadeonHD & RX series including:-
* R520 (X1300-X1950 series) * R700 (HD4000 series) * Evergreen (HD5000 series) * Northern Islands (HD6000 series) * Southern Islands (HD7000 series) * Radeon R5 230/235/235x * Radeon R7 250x/265 series * Radeon R9 270/270x/280/280x

The new version of pci.library for all Mediator models has been released today.
The pci.library ver. 11.0 includes new procedure for allocation of the PCI memory. New procedure allows faster computer start when the multi-device PCI cards are used (e.g. Spider USB controller). New pci.library gives the possibility to reallocate (free and allocate) PCI spaces from the driver for the specific PCI card. It is useful in case of PCI cards, which do not report their PCI spaces typically (e.g. some PCI processor bridges).
Pci.library 11.0 can be downloaded from the Mediator software page.
If you are interested in the new updated MediatorSDK, contact ELBOX Developer Department.
Best regards, ELBOX COMPUTER Team
Information on the current versions is available in the DOWNLOADS | Mediator section. The current list of supported PCI cards is available in the Mediator Driver Guide. Information about Mediator-related sources you will find in the COMMUNITY section.

Our 8Bit NES styled Amiga Run&Gun "Projekt Lila" is now underway to everyone who has pre-ordered it and to Vesalia and Alinea Computer.
The game has been created by Amiworx and the soundtrack come from Blue Metal Rose and has been recreated as Amiga MOD's including vocals. (the MOD-files are in the Bonus drawer, as well as some bonus graphics)
The disk contains in total 3 versions of the Game: 1. 020/2MB Version for CD32 and other 020 Amigas (different Intro, alternative Soundtrack) 2. 030/4MB Full Blue Metal Rose Soundtrack 3. 030/4MB Hardcore mode (if the original game is not hard enough - basically the unchanged original Beta)
As a small thank you for your patience (it was planned to send it out in June), every pre-order package will contain a indieCoin card(5€) for the indieGO!- Appstore which can be used to buy perhaps G.E.M.Z : ) or AmiCloud or something else.
Besides this every package includes a small label counting the number of the disc and your individual download code for the indieGO! Appstore. With this code you can download the latest ISO, containing all available Versions.
The game will be printed only once and as long the CD-ROM version isn't sold out, the download will cost as much as the CD-ROM.
Please order your CD-ROM from your favorite Amiga dealer to support them as well.

Happy almost CommVEx time, C= and Ami aficionados!
The Fresno Commodore User Group has its next meeting from 11 a.m. to 2+ p.m., Sunday, July 24 at --
Bobby Salazar's Mexican Restaurant 2839 North Blackstone Ave. (corner of Blackstone and Michigan) Fresno, California (559) 227-1686
Note that our meeting is one week later than usual.
During lunch, we'll finish watching the video documentary, "Growing the 8-Bit Generation." Also we'll also watch the trailer for the new Viva Amiga film.
For discussion, everybody will have a chance to give their last suggestions/comments/observations before the July 30-31 Commodore Vegas Expo v12. Also I'll have an oral report and photos from my trip to the Pacific Northwest which includes a visit to C= repair technician Ray Carlsen and a visit to the Commodore 64 Users of Greater Victoria (a.k.a. ViC 64), the C= club of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
For the fourth month in a row, the Chalkboard PowerPad returns, this time with the music-composing program, MicroMaestro. For the VIC-20, we look at the Micro Vicious, a music synthesizer. From the Amiga 1200, we'll play some sweet MOD tunes. For a change of pace, we'll try out the new Pac-man clone, Pac-Pac for the Plus/4. We'll also punch the buttons on the Kim Uno, a modern clone of the classic KIM-1.

ChaosLord dies in his final battle... |
| Announcement posted by Hypex on 9-Jul-2016 15:40:10 (6942 reads) |
Hello everyone. I have some sad news to share.
I found out a few days ago that a friend I met online, James Conwell, passed away on July 1st.
James went by the handle ChaosLord and is credited for being best known for his TotalChaos game on the Amiga and his creation of the JC programming language, James C, that was his own macro set to make C easier to work with.
