AmigaOS 3.1 source code leak - official statement |
| Announcement posted by Cyborg on 5-Jan-2016 11:26:22 (9811 reads) |
Brussels, January 5, 2015
Hyperion Entertainment wishes a happy New Year 2016 everybody!
The days between last Christmas and New Year were actually clouded by the sad fact that the source code of AmigaOS 3.1 and additional content dating back to 1994 was published and widely spread without permission of the rights-holder. Note that no code of AmigaOS 4.x was released or distributed.

The Amiga Image Storage System (AISS) offers a photo-illustrative icon style for toolbar images - it approaches the realism of photography but uses the features of illustrations to convey a lot of information in a small image.
AISS is an environment to store, access and maintain this toolbar images. For more information about AISS please have a look at the documentation.
The new release features more than 8,300 images in the AmigaOS 4 icon design and for compatibility reasons all pictures and animations of the previous releases.
The new archive is available on the website and OS4Depot.

MUI 4.0-2015R4 for AmigaOS4/PPC and AmigaOS3/m68k released |
| Software News posted by tboeckel on 2-Jan-2016 12:09:24 (4240 reads) |
The MUI for AmigaOS development team is proud to announce the immediate release of version 4.0-2015R4 of the Magic User Interface for AmigaOS4/PPC and AmigaOS3/m68k.
Please find the release archives in our download section.
Like all former releases a keyfile is required to enable all available settings. Old keyfiles from MUI 3.8 can be used without any restriction.
Please note that MUI4 for AmigaOS3/m68k is definitely targeted at powerful systems with a fast CPU and a fast graphic board. Although it is still possible to run this release on a real 68k machine an emulation like WinUAE is very highly recommended. Also colormapped screens with 256 colors at most are still supported, but MUI4 makes heavy use of fancy truecolor images and effects which cannot be provided on colormapped screens with the full range of possibilities.

Hi ALL! A little news version of LoView was released on OS4Dpepot. The new version have only 2 (minor) changes look at the changelog:
30.12.2015 v2.91 - Fixed a bug that prevent to choose the second function of the buttons with 2 functions on LoView, added a Ringhio notification(OS4 only) while LoViewThumb have finished to load the selected thumbs.
the AROS and MOS version will be released ASAP on AmiNET(feel free to upload it anywhere for better support on that OSes)
The 68k and PUP/WOS versions wasnt planned anymore... If anyone(maybe related to WinUAE 68k usage) was interested tell me and I probably compile it...

A new cracktro developed by Toni Gálvez (graphics) and Fernando Cabrera (music/code) from CopperSky. Programmed in assembly language and with a chiptune melody, this creation is a delight worthy of the best of the golden age. Enjoy it!!
