Software News   DigiBooster 3.1 released
Software News posted by AndreasM on 25-Sep-2014 13:45:32 (3893 reads)
DigiBooster 3.1 was released for AmigaOS 3, AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS.

DigiBooster 3.1 is available on CD-ROM and as download in our online-shop:
http://www.amigashop.org

DigiBooster 3.1 follows the traditional tracker's way of making music with an advanced audio processing engine, and an up-to-date MUI based graphical user interface. It retains backward compatibility with its Amiga ancestor, DigiBooster Pro 2. On the other hand the program code has been written from scratch. Its modular design gives it a straightforward path for future development. Except for versions for classic Amiga computers, DigiBooster 3.1 is also compiled for PowerPC processors, taking advantage of their greater computing power.

Amigaworld.net News   5 years of the AresOne
Amigaworld.net News posted by phoenixkonsole on 22-Sep-2014 19:05:55 (2025 reads)
5 years ago I started with the "ArmigaOne" in mind (which was later renamed to "AresOne") to offer cheap AROS compatible systems, which was not as easy back then.
Money earned from sales, plus a lot if my own, was put into several AROS bounties. Around the AresOne we created a pre-configured distribution called AROS Broadway (later Broadway X as part of Aeros), AMC (amiga media center) and other small or bigger projects. Sometimes it was just fun, sometimes it was stressful, but it still it was a good time.

Long story short: Everyone who registers until end of September 2014 at www.ares-shop.de will get a lifetime discount of 3%. Already registered customers should contact me because I have no way to change customer discounts on the fly (I will change them when contacted, including after the end of September deadline).

This is not all. I will start a sale offer at the coming weekend. Have a good time.

Events   Default NewsTek Episode #15 - iPhone 6 Launch and Classic Amiga iPhone games
Events posted by DiscreetFX on 21-Sep-2014 21:11:01 (2599 reads)
NewsTek Episode #15

For Episode #15 of the NewsTek Show we are live at the Chicago Michigan Ave Apple store for the launch of iPhone 6. About 500 people lined up to get their iPhone 6 & 6 Plus Smart Phones. We asked if anyone was going to play some retro Amiga games on their brand new iPhone's and unfortunately got blank stares. Not sure if the modern public is aware of what the Amiga is/was. It shows there is still a lot of work to do to bring Amiga brand awareness back to the general public.
