News   Amiga Future: New full versions online
  News posted by AndreasM on 14-Nov-2023 15:57:20 (716 reads)
The download area of the Amiga Future was updated today. So, you can now find the following full versions online:

Disk Salv 3
Moonbases
Supaplex
Tritus
Zodes

https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/dlext/index

An overview of the recent uploads and changes to the download database of Amiga Future is also available from this link:

https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/dlext/latest

Of course we also want to be able to offer you many more full versions online, but to be able to achieve this, for you, we need your help, so ...

We are on the lookout for the Copyright holders for Amiga games and applications.
Do you know of any such person or can you actively help us in our search?
If so, then please contact us by email.

We are looking for extra support in order to revise the full versions download area of the Amiga Future webpage.
In particular, to check whether all those full versions formats (ADF, IPF, WHDLoad, AGA, CD releases, etc.) are complete.
In addition, a short description, in 2 sentences or less, about each of their system requirements and some screenshots need to be created.
If you want to help us, then please send us an email.

News   Amiga Future subscription campaign for more pages
  News posted by AndreasM on 10-Nov-2023 11:33:30 (666 reads)
Since the last subscription campaign actually worked quite well, we thought we could simply do the subscription campaign again.

An Amiga Future issue currently has 60 pages.

However, we generally want to increase the number of pages in the Amiga Future in order to have more space for editorial content.
There is more than enough for testing. We only need the space for it and of course a few editors and translators as well.

In order to be able to finance this permanently, we simply need more subscribers. Well ... a couple of long-term advertisers for the magazine and homepage wouldn't be bad either, but this is only about the subscribers and the number of pages.

We have calculated the whole thing more precisely. In order to be able to finance four additional pages, we need 25 NEW subscribers. For eight pages we need 50 NEW subscribers.
Ideally, subscriptions with CoverCD.

https://www.amigashop.org/index.php?cPath=41

That's why we started a counter with immediate effect. If we create 25 new subscriptions by the 1. December 2023 , we will have four more pages in each issue of the Amiga Future in the future. With 50 new subscriptions even eight pages more.

And if there are more than 50 new subscriptions ... Well, let's think about it if the miracle should really happen. ;)

You can find the current status of the campaign on the Amiga Future Webpage at the top.

software Classic   APC&TCP: Boxed Version of Boxx 4 released
  software Classic posted by AndreasM on 6-Nov-2023 12:30:44 (936 reads)
APC&TCP is pleased to announce that the boxed version of Boxx 4 online shop is available today.

About Boxx 4:

Once upon a time, in a distant land, there lived a little box-like creature named Cubo. Cubo was a happy-go-lucky creature who loved nothing more than exploring his world and find new areas.

One day, Cubo discovered that an evil robotic witch had slowly taken over his home area and was using her army of followers to torture the local inhabitants. Cubo knew he had to do something... to save everyone - and set out on a quest!

Certainly, getting the electronic monster eliminated wasn't easy. The way was blocked with checkpoints, but coins opened the doors magically. It seems even evil watchmen can be attracted by money. Supporters of Cyrce, the robotic witch, might still look after you and will crush you without mercy.

Can you survive and succeed in your mission?

Features:

* Coded with Scorpion Engine
* 14 finest Amiga chiptunes including Jukeboxx
* Lots of old school pixels
* 3 difficulty levels
* Randomly generated screensavers
* Cheats... for cheaters :)
* Amiga OCS Floppy Disk (works on ECS/AGA too)

There's also new Boxx 4 included as well as new windowed and fullscreen versions of ScummVM and Dune 2.

Thanks to the new ADF device, handling ADF files is now very easy. Double-click to mount it, right-click the mounted ADF on desktop to eject it.

Plus there are many updated software include, as always.

And last but not least, welcome young programming star Aris Sokianos, son of George (Walkero). Check out his Mnemosyne tool in AmiKit:Tools or right-click any device on your folder or any folder and select Analyze (Mnemosyne) to show the output in Shell. And please, support him on his GitHub, if you can.
