Airsoft Softwair has just released a new plugin for Hollywood 5 - Infinity. This plugin enables all Hollywood scripts to load and save images in the JPEG2000 format. JPEG2000 is the successor to the popular JPEG format and offers multiple advantages over its predecessor including lossless compression and the possibility to store images with alpha channels. Additionally, when a JPEG2000 plugin is available and you compile executables for Mac OS X, Hollywood will be able to create Mac OS X icons in the resolutions 256x256 and 512x512 as well because these images are encoded using JPEG2000 bitstreams.

I have just uploaded AROS Vision 1.5.9. One of the main topics is full CD-Support including automounting of CDs, playing Music-CDs (MUI CD Player), Video can be played with ffplay or mplayer (the only missing thing is CD32 emulation). Further additions are FAT95, TwinVNC, Mr. Beanbag, a couple of music player and backup-tools. Amistart-menues are extended.

A revised version of AbiWord 2.8.6 is now available on OS4-Depot.
AbiWord is a wordprocessor, which supports a wide range of file formats.
New in this release:
Keyboard layouts that do not conform to ISO-8859-1 standard (eg Polish or Greek keyboards) are now better supported.Dead keys are also supported now. For this the program uses the definitions in the keymap files in "KEYMAPS:"."AbiWord" can now import pictures in SVG and XCF (Gimp) format.
All program packages released since AmiCygnix 1.2 will be revised and published without a news message.

The two base packages "AmiCygnix-Base" and "AmiCygnix-Tools" are now available in a revised version.
New in AmiCygnix-Base:
The support of dead keys was revised again. In 1.3 r1 this feature didn't work properly. Additionally all dead keys - except "DeadDialytikaTonos" - defined in the keymap files in "KEYMAPS:" are now supported.

Hyperion and Individual Computers Sign License Agreement |

Brussels, March 9th, 2013
Hyperion Entertainment CVBA (Belgium) and Individual Computers GmbH (Germany) have signed a license agreement for use of Kickstart 1.3 and Kickstart 3.1 ROMs in processor accelerators for Amiga 500, Amiga 1000, Amiga 2000 and Amiga 2500.
In addition to the binary license, Hyperion will grant Individual Computers access to the source code of the IDE driver for further development which may facilitate installation of AmigaOS 4.1 and beyond.
