Amigaworld.net News   HGui for Hollywood finally released
  Amigaworld.net News posted by Allanon on 24-Feb-2023 15:43:19 (920 reads)
Today I'm very proud to announce that, after 14 years of development, the first public version of HGui is available on GitHub.

HGui is a GUI ToolKit for Hollywood-MAL written completely in plain Hollywood, the only needed requirements are the includes provided with the HGui distribution.

HGui offers unique features to you but the main purpose is to allow the programmer to have cross-compile applications that are able to render the exact same interface on all the platforms supported by Hollywood.

You don't need any external plugin to use HGui.

Amigaworld.net News   AmiFox Changes WWW Browsing for Amiga Users
  Amigaworld.net News posted by AmiDelf2 on 21-Feb-2023 14:31:05 (1261 reads)
Hello. I am from Amitopia AmiDev Team together with alb42 and mcdope.

We have made AmiTube before that lets you browse and watch YouTube clips on 68k Amigas. This is done by using the Amiga CDXL video format.

BROWSE THE WEB WITH ANY AMIGA
However, now we go one step further. AmiFox is here! You can read more about it at Amitopia. But the most important info is that this is a WWW browser capable of showing CSS websites on any Amiga. But don't expect horsepowers on a 68000 Amiga. But it will work! Recommended is 68020+!

The purpose of AmiFox is to give 68k Amiga and PowerPC low-end users CSS, SSL, and Javascript browsing possible on 68000, 68020, 68030, 68040, 68060, PiStorm, and Vampire +++!
AmiFox is not an ordinary HTML/CSS browser but it requires a WRP Server to work.

News   The Amiga Future magazine Issue 161 - preview is now available to view online
  News posted by AndreasM on 18-Feb-2023 14:15:39 (1134 reads)
These comprise of the full colour preview and excerpts of our Amiga Future issue 161 (March/April 2023) which can also be viewed online on the Amiga Future website.

Some of the interesting articles in this issue are:

Interview Colin Vella
Review AmiCygnix 1.7
Demoscene

Of course there's actually so MUCH more in the magazine.

Needless to say you will often get other versions of software, some of which were commercially available, as well as some of the latest try-outs or freely released software applications and games for, hopefully, every Amiga variant of Operating system, so that's Amiga 'Classic', OS4, MorphOS, and AROS, including some PD software for these systems, all on the Readers' cover CD.

A detailed description of the varied content and excerpts of our current issue can be found at: https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/kb/index?c=13

software Classic   AmiModRadio v0.99997
  software Classic posted by tygre on 29-Jan-2023 18:28:14 (1079 reads)
Hi all!

I'm happy to release AmiModRadio, v0.99997! It fixes fixes bugs #84 and #126, which means that AMP is now a new source, with another 100,000 modules available! It also includes some cleanup of the code to simplify and strengthen it. The lists of directories/files (when available, depending on the source) now work as you'd expect.

As usual, it can be downloaded, along with its source code:

- Via HTTP, on my Amiga Web server :D;
- Via HTTPs on Aminet of course :);
- Via HTTPs on BitBucket;
- Via HTTPs on SourceForge.

Please contribute by asking for features, reporting bugs, or offering other translations!

Cheers!
