Icaros Desktop 1.2.3 has been released! |
| Announcement posted by paolone on 6-Jul-2010 21:55:58 (6055 reads) |
Great news for AROS folks and Amiga followers in general: the latest update of Icaros Desktop adds some new fancy features like playing videos from YouTube, and a more reliable 3D/2D graphic support for most Nvidia cards (from GeForce FX to GTX200, with various degree of compatibility and support). This new release adds also some new applications, like the music editor BigBand or the vector-graphic program AmiFig, just ported to AROS by Yannick Erb, or the desktop-grabbing tool Screenrecorder, while many other applications have been updated to the latest version. Icaros Desktop 1.2.3 is available in two formats: the complete Live! edition and the usual update-CD which must be installed over a pre-existing 1.2.2 installation with Icaros LiveUpdater. Screenshots and more details here: http://vmwaros.blogspot.com/2010/07/icaros-desktop-123-available-for.html

Four finalists fight for the final prizes
The total scores are counted, back and forth, double checked.
These four have managed to correctly identify at least 100 "Amiga faces" and 25 Amiga images with the correct quantity of each, as well as found 28 Boing Balls and solved the difficult "needle in a haystack" riddle, where the correct answer was Dave Needle as the mystery Amigan in the spacesuit.
Unfortunately; there can be only one !
Winner of the 2nd Prize: AmigaOS4 for PPC equipped Classic Amiga's - donated by Hyperion Entertainment is.....
Hannu Kuittinen aka Hanzu Well done and congratulations!
And many thanks to Hyperion Entertainment for the generous donation.

| Software News posted by spotUP on 1-Jul-2010 13:49:57 (4013 reads) |
While Sqrxz wandered around on a sunny day, he was unaware that he had lost all his items while enjoying the scenery. It was already dark until he recognized the loss. There was no possibilty, but to go back where he started the trip and save his things. If the loss was not already enough, strange creatures appeared. Will they be helpful?
What is Sqrxz?

Giana's Return is Out for AmigaOS4 and MorphOS! |
| Software News posted by AmiDelf2 on 1-Jul-2010 10:56:15 (6191 reads) |
Remember Giana Sisters? The game that links everyones minds to Amiga and Commodore 64. Now Giana's Return is out. It's a unofficial follow up game. Giana’s Return is UNOFFICIAL and FREE – Giana Sisters DS is OFFICIAL and COMMERCIAL.
Giana's Return is free which must be one of the coolest games I've ever tried on next generation Amiga system in ages. Great 2D graphics, with superb music and gameplay! This is a must-have game for every Next Generation Amigan!
