Amiga Future is on the lookout for major re-inforcements in our 25th year |
News posted by AndreasM on 24-Mar-2021 14:55:43 (1153 reads) |
As our printed issues of the Amiga Future magazine has been in regular publication for almost 25 years, it is now time to massively increase our team that edits the magazine and webpage. The intention is to spread the workload of our entire team and to divide it over more shoulders, so the workload for each editorial team member involved gets reduced, though as a result of this staff increase, we also want to increase its overall quality.
So, that the next 25 years will be somewhat easier for everyone involved.
The list of personnel we are looking for is quite long:
* Editors for the print edition of the Amiga Future * Translators for the print edition of the Amiga Future * News editors for the Amiga Future homepage * Full commitment on the Amiga Future webpage * Advertising management for the magazine and website * Maybe offer some suggestions for how else you can assist us?
Editors for the printed issues of the Amiga Future **************************************************** We are particularly interested in coverage of these areas:
* Demo scene * Applications 68k * Games 68k, AmigaOS4, MorphOS * Hardware (all system areas)
Would you like to work on our print magazine for the Amiga that has been around for almost 25 years?
Then just get in touch with us.

New version of Remote Desktop for AmigaOS 3.x 68k in Development! |
Amigaworld.net News posted by HammerD on 23-Mar-2021 18:06:43 (1074 reads) |
I am happy to announce that a new version of Remote Desktop for AmigaOS 3.x (68k) is in development! This version will be based on the latest MorphOS port and it will include most of the features of the newer MorphOS port including Windows 10 support, a properly functioning mouse pointer/cursor, audio re-direction, clipboard support, and more.
Although the final version will be free, donations will of course help. You can donate any amount small or large using the Donate button on http://www.hd-zone.com. All donations will be sent directly to the developer.
A beta version is already running so hopefully it will not take too long for a release version - donations will speed up this process! Thank you to everyone who has donated in the past and for your continued support of the Amiga and the community!

It comes with a library of almost 1000 commands and its functionality can be extended further through over 30 plugins which are available for free download.

Amiga Future search editors and translators |
News posted by AndreasM on 10-Mar-2021 15:00:48 (742 reads) |
We are looking for additional editorial assistance for our Amiga Future magazine.
Specifically we are looking for an editor with sufficient (lots and lots of) experience using an Amiga.
Interested? Then get in touch with the Amiga Future editorial staff.
However, you should ensure you own the following:
- An Amiga :) - Fundamental knowledge of the Amiga - Very good spelling in your native language (German or English!) - Experience at writing test report(s) - And of course, spare time and lots of interest in Amigas :)
We are also looking for translators for the magazine. Requirements are:
Translation of German -> English; also you should;
1. speak your native language (English) very well and submit correct spelling and grammar in written article(s). 2. have a good understanding of the German/Deutsch language as well. 3. be able to understand what you are actually translating.
So there is a definite need for basic, and sometimes technical, knowledge of the Amiga required in many cases.

The winner was randomly selected by an Amiga number generator application. Kevin's Vampire order request has already been submitted and he will also get an awesome brand Amiga joystick from AmigaKit when his Vampire V4 is ready to ship. Here are the links from the hardware developers to order the joystick and a Vampire for anyone else interested in buying them.

Adventure game "Ermentrud" is coming this year finally |
software Classic posted by Timo on 21-Feb-2021 17:57:30 (1520 reads) |
The point’n’click adventure "Ermentrud" was originally developed between 2001 and 2004 for Amigas with a graphics card, but then abandoned. It was set in a medieval world and offered an absurd plot with absurd humor. And the hero had a cardboard horse.
Website
It will be released this year after all, even if not in the scope planned at the time. It will contain all the original graphics, sounds and music, but the storyline will be revised.
So far only a German version is planned. It is not yet clear whether there will be other languages. The game will be available for free.
