software AROS   AxRuntime v41.2 Released
software AROS posted by deadwood on 5-Apr-2022 8:59:43 (2749 reads)
A new version of AxRuntime is now available! AxRuntime lets developers compile their Amiga API-based applications as Linux programs.

The highlights of release v41.2 are:

1) AROS-Shell, an AmigaDOS-compatible Shell, is now available for you as a native Linux program. You can write DOS scripts and use shell commands to interact with Linux filesystem.
2) AxRuntime becomes a bridge between AROS x86_64 and Linux by allowing running native AROS programs as standalone Linux programs. In this function AxRuntime is similar to Wine. Wine allows running Windows programs on Linux, AxRuntime allows running AROS programs on Linux.

This release comes with 4 applications: AROS-Shell, MPlayer, WookieChat and Final Writer 7 (demo). Additionally AROS x86_64 applications like MUIbase can also be used!

REV'n'GE! is a fanzine that reviews games, hardware and multimedia on vintage platforms.

In this issue you can read "Exodus: The last War" for Amiga and beautiful Terramex for ZX Spectrum. Of course also many other games and two brief reviews about 2022 productions.

Amigaworld.net News   AmiKit XE running AmigaOS 3.2
Amigaworld.net News posted by AmiKit on 20-Mar-2022 9:52:38 (1801 reads)
New AmiKit XE 11.6.1 update for Windows/Mac/Linux can use AmigaOS 3.2 now!
The Raspberry Pi edition of AmiKit will get a similar update soon.

www.amikit.amiga.sk

Please be advised that you still need an earlier AmigaOS version (like Amiga Forever, OS3.9, etc.) to install AmiKit first. Then you can install AmigaOS 3.2 on top of it.

WHAT IS AMIKIT?

- AmiKit turns your computer into a powerful Amiga desktop. It includes 400+ apps and retro games.
- We've done all the hard work for you. Everything is pre-instaled and pre-configured & ready to use out of the box
- AmiKit runs super fast on your Windows, Mac, Linux or Raspberry Pi thanks to WinUAE/Amiberry emulator
- Enjoy your beloved Amiga computer again, now in a modern retro power suit!

IMPORTANT NOTE: For AmiKit to work you do need original Amiga Operating System files (Amiga Forever is recommended).

hardware OS4 posted by elwood on 19-Mar-2022 14:40:19 (2065 reads)
Dears customers,

We would like to tell you some important news about the production of the Sam460LE boards. Well, to be honest, just one BIG news.

The production has begun!!!

Do not miss the opportunity to be among the first to receive this new board. Join us in this new project by pre-ordering your board, choosing the “Sam460LE pre-order item” from our online store.

Just go to the Sam460LE item page and add the board to your cart!

While waiting for the first batch to be ready, we want to share a preview of the schematics layout of our new board. Whenever a new hardware pops up we, as hardcore users, are always interested in this kind of pictures, and we bet that all our customers will be interested as well

Our goal, as always, is to give the AmigaOS 4.1 and MorphOS communities new hardware to run and enjoy. And let's not forget the large Linux community too! If you want to take part in this adventure, do not hesitate and take your ticket for the trip

The ACube Systems Team
