DiscreetFX Presents - A Very Merry Vampire Christmas |
Announcement posted by DiscreetFX on 20-Dec-2020 10:35:15 (1318 reads) |
Advanced Happy Holidays Everyone!
It’s been a challenging year for many, unfortunately. DiscreetFX wants to brighten the darkness and take a bite out of these troubled times by giving away a Vampire V4 system to one lucky winner. This is not a contest, you don’t have to buy anything or sign up for a subscription plan or anything that Dracula would dislike. If you want a chance to win a free Vampire V4 system just send us an e-mail with the subject line “I Want a Vampire V4 to Bite Me”.
Please send it to discreetfx@gmail.com. The Winner will be randomly picked using an Amiga random number generator application. The selection process will be on December 31st, 2020, and the winner will be announced shortly after. The Vampire V4 currently has a waiting list so it may take a few months to receive and it will be shipped by the Apollo Team. DiscreetFX only pays for the computer and the shipping to the country and address of the winner. The Vampire V4 is available to win to any Amiga user or former Amiga user in any country on Earth. It’s not available if you live off-planet like Mars for example.
We are just kidding about the off-world comment. As far as we know no one currently lives on another planet at this time. Good luck everyone and Happy Holidays and Advanced Happy New Year from DiscreetFX.

UBoot 1.3.1g for Sam440ep/Sam440ep-Flex boards available |
News posted by Lecta on 6-Dec-2020 16:47:57 (825 reads) |
Bassano del Grappa, Italy - 06 Dec, 2020
ACube Systems is happy to announce the availability of another update to UBoot firmware for the Sam440ep, Sam440-Flex and Sam440-Flex SE.
Our commitment to the Amiga Community is still stronger as it was at the beginning of our adventure, and it will bring more news in the upcoming year.
This release, a “Christmas gift” to all our customers, brings the following enhancements and fixes:
U-boot 1.3.1g — Dec 04, 2020
Improved support for Radeon HD and Radeon RX graphic cards. Now you can use a Radeon HD / RX via a PCI to PCI Express adapter. On the Sam440ep flex motherboard, it is recommended to use PCI slot #1 for maximum performance. Please note that full support for Radeon RX is still under development and for this reason, with many models of gfx cards, U-Boot does not show any output, but the card works fine once the operating system is loaded. Introduced a new menu entry to change the x86 gfx BIOS emulator accuracy. If your graphic card show some visual problems on startup, try increasing the x86 BIOS emulator accuracy. As always, read carefully the instructions in the archive.
You can find the updates on Sam440ep and Sam440ep-Flex product pages.
We hope you will enjoy this update.
Stay tuned for other news in the upcoming months.
