Kickstarter: 8 bit Symphony Pro - The Double Orchestral CD (8 days left)
Miscellaneous News posted by _Steve_ on 31-Aug-2019 0:05:23 (1636 reads)

Following on from a very successful concert in Hull back in June, Chris Abbott has launched a kickstarter to have several classic C64 SIDs that were professionally scored for the Hull Concert to be performed and professionally recorded by the Czech Studio Orchestra in Prague.

Many notable C64 musicians works were painstakingly adapted and scored to be played by an 85 piece orchestra including songs by Ben Daglish, Rob Hubbard and Richard Joseph.

Rob Hubbard has been heavily involved in the scoring of the songs along with Robin Tait and Alastair Pickering.

An interview with Rob Hubbard can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5l9B0cWwHY&feature=youtu.be

Oliver Roberts and the IBrowse Team are pleased to announce the immediate release of IBrowse 2.5 for AmigaOS 3.x and 4.x. After many years in the making, development has been on a roller coaster since IBrowse 2.4, with challenging personal, technical and commercial issues complicating the release schedule. However, we are extremely happy to finally make this new version available to all the valued users who have been waiting so patiently.

IBrowse 2.5 fixes many bugs, making it the most stable and fastest version yet, but more importantly brings modern SSL/TLS support and a fully native AmigaOS 4.x build. Below is a very brief summary of the key changes since version 2.4:

software OS4   Stream video from Twitch and Mixer on AmigaOS 4
software OS4 posted by walkero on 28-Aug-2019 8:58:38 (1317 reads)
If you use to watch your beloved Amiga and Retro streamers on Twitch.tv or Mixer.com, but you do that on your PC, and that doesn't feel authentic, don't worry any more. There is aiostreams to help you watch them on the workbench of your AmigaOS 4 system.

aiostreams id a package of scripts that help you watch live or recorded streams from many online video platforms. At least, that's what it wishes to be. Right now Twitch.tv and Mixer.com are supported, but there are plans for more to be added in the future.

aiostreams runs from the shell. If you know the channel URL you want to watch, you just have to use it as a parameter beside the script of the equivalent network.

News   Amiga Future: Again at Gamescom
News posted by AndreasM on 15-Aug-2019 9:23:53 (1040 reads)
Also this year the Amiga Future will be represented with APC & TCP on the Gamescom in the retro area.
Visitors can get detailed information about the AMIGA computer system from the almost 90m² booth and, of course, also test more than 20 devices on site.
The Amiga Future Team will surely be able to answer all your questions about Amiga.

As guests of honor we have Trevor from A-EON Technology on Tuesday and Wednesday and Petro Tyschtschenko on Saturday at the stand.

In addition, the Apollo team shows the brand new Vampire4. You can test the Vampire4 in detail and the developers are also available for questions.

But we also have two IndieGO systems on our stand, which of course can be thoroughly tested.
Of course, Pascal Papara is also here ready to answer all your questions.

Since we can not (yet) be in two places at the same time, no orders will be sent from 17 to 27 August in our online shop.
This also applies to download versions. Emails can only be answered after Gamescom. We ask for patience.
It may take some time before all orders and emails can be processed.
