Click image for fullsize | Night sky and trees | Description: A few minutes of exposing a Kodak Portra can result in something like this. And yeah, the sky really was purple'ish that night.

Wow - Your photos are stunning!
Did you not have a filter on the lens? How long was the exposure? What camera do you use?

Thanks! I'd like to think I know what I'm doing when it comes to photography..
This one is one of my better, though I have shot a bunch that are just as good (or better) IMHO, however, most of them just don't seem right as backdrops..

Nope. Not too much of a fan of filters. I don't have anything against them, but since most filter effects can be acheived digitally, I prefer to make a "clean" exposure and then tweak it to my liking afterwards. The only filter I'm something of a fan of is the polarizer, for obvious reasons..
I might've added some punch to the magentas when I scanned the image, can't really remember. But the sky really did have an amazing colour to it that evening, I was just lucky I guess, right time, right place, and all that...

What camera did I use? Pah... You imbecile! Haven't you learned that the body doesn't matter? (Unless it's a Practica ) It's the emulsion and the lens that counts, man!
Actually, it's a Nikon F3 (second-hand, I might add, and something of a steal, just like my first one), this shot was taken with a Nikkor 28/2.8 with an aperture of f/4, exposed for 2 minutes on a Kodak Portra 160NC (my film of choice).

I wouldn't know the first thing about any type of 3d software, so I opt for the easy way out and stick with old fashion photography. _________________ A1G4XE, OS4-pre
