I was learning a couple of things at once. How to grow the plants and how to work the digital camera. I've got a few hundred pictures of various flowers I've grown the last few years. The plants hold still for hours while I fool with the camera.

I think it will be good to have the flowers on the A1's screen during the fall and winter months. Now I'm trying to learn to work Image FX, I just bought it. I'll be very glad when I can read my camera's memory card with my A1.

Doodoohead (new to digital photography, gardening and ImageFX, but fearless)

I've got quite some experience with flowers, but how the hell do you grow them as backdrops?

Argh! Far too bright (and by extension, pink).

@ Cecilia

Thanks, I am getting ready to retire from my job and I've decided to get some hobbies to keep me busy. Gardening gets me outside for a little air and sun, away from the amiga for a while.

@ Toaks

Yes, I try to get a good in focus picture of each one before it dies. Most of them are closeups using the macro lens. (2200x1700) It gives me some image data to process while I try to figure out ImageFX4.5 studio.

@ All

I have pictures of all colors and many kinds of flowers. Yes they are bright and colorful, that is the point. Around here there won't be any more flowering again until March. The photos allow me to brighten up my computing space during the non-growing months. They also allow me to remember what grew well, so I buy the right plants next year.

That sounds very sane

Judging from your pictures you seem to get a hang of gardening
