@MagicSN

While waiting for the screenshots ... I looked at the libSDL website and found some games that looks interesting:

Aleph One/SDL
Battle for Wesnoth
GLtron
LMarbles
LBreakout
LBreakout2
sdlMine
SDLroids
xrick I know there is an Amiga version, but I don't know if there is an AmigaOS4 version

Steffen can you port in the near future Sne9x 1.42 on OS4 ?

For Amiga classic there is an old version (also PPC) 1.29 but have some audio problem,
also it would be funny to see an emulator like Visual Boy Advance in the future

I Know that your work is just now very hard, but i hope in the future...

Thanks aniway for this special gift

Hi,

I have this excellent game now running on 68k OS3.9 MK-III 060/66Mhz and
CGFX4 CV64.
The Game looks very nice , and run at akzeptable speed on 060/66 ...
But ...
Have Bug´s left :
It eat ALL my Memory in ca. 20 Min ( 132MB Fast ) !!
Saves per default Filenames longer than 32 Letters !
On FFS ( all my Games on FFS .. WB on PFS3 ) the limit is 32 ..
The suffix .sav go away .. and without this suffix , OpenTTD dont
load/display this file.
And .. i can´t rename the file at saving !
No Letter input work from Keyboard!
Only ESC,Return,Del and Backspace Work !
I can´t Rename everything in game too.

Hope fixed this bug´s .. the Game is S U P E R B ! [ Waiting for Multiplay
too !! ]
I can only play at time for ~15 Min .. than i musst Quit and Restart .. or
Amiga crashes by No memory left.

Regards
R-TEAM
[ Sorry for my bad english]

Nice one Steffen.

I'm also interrested in the commercial games that you have done. When OS 4 is released later this year, will people that have bought these games immediatly be able to download native versions of it?

I already have Heretic 2 and Quake 2 and have just ordered Shogo and Freespace. And what about Sin?

OS 4 and the A1 are beginning to shape up nicely.

EDIT: And Quake too offcourse. I'm very much looking forward to playing Quake and Quake 2 on OS 4 and the A1.

@hnl_dk

Actually Nicomen set up a wiki for us betatesters/developers to use - we've already looked through the entire collection of SDL games and written a nice list for the porters to ignore ;)

"Thanks" would go to the MorphOS Community, if they would not have announced the
MOS version I would not have known such a great source code is available for porting
to AmigaOS 4 :)

Hehehehe...

[Irony Mode OFF]

Find some more motivation here You will find a whole heap of MorphOS ports there.

Question: How easy/hard is to compile a 68K amiga version from an OS4 port's code? Is it just a simple switch of GCC as with most MorphOS ports (not requiring SDLgl of course)?

Where from will your ports be downloadable?

@MagicSN

Well done Steffen "Porting-Man" Hauser !!!

Just a little question: do you think is very hard to port Unix/Linux (under Xwindows) application to AmigaOS 4.0 ?

Thank you again !!!

@MagicSN

Could you port Ur-Quan Masters as well? I would consider doing it myself if it just weren't for the fact that I have absolutely no experience whatsoever with either porting or Mac/PC programming (except for a few Hello World type programs for DOS ).
