@BigBentheAussie You said: "And the stuff with contracts being different. What the hell is with that? Is AmigaInc just incompetent or what? I think incompetence lost them the injunction more than anything else."
The fact that Amiga Inc has produced nothing but: 1. Specifications for what a new Amiga should be wrt Hardware.
2. Ill will by promising to sell people T-Shirts (why is a Computer Co. doing this first???).
3. Worthless (for the most part) Coupons for the new OS (with no idea as to when it would ever be ready for hardware, which no one was even producing at the time).
4. Radio-silence about just what their plans were.
5. Futile efforts to control just who could be licensed to make Amiga Hardware (with requirements that only kept out people that really wanted Amiga to succeed and did nothing to attract OEMs that could actually do the work).
6. Heavy breathing while Haage & Partner churned out OS3.5 and 3.9 which is what Amiga Inc should have been doing.
7. Farts in their chairs while Eyetech struggled to manufacture AmigaOne hardware (I have one by the way, legally recognized by Amiga Inc or not).
8. Moaning noises after jumping into bed with Microsoft (and actually producing some sort of product, just not Amiga hardware or software that could actually be used by anyone that owned an Amiga or AmigaOne.)
9. Stone-cold silence as Hyperion was gracefully allowed to produce OS4 with nary an Amiga employee having to do any coding at all ("We'll just use the Courts to take it from them once they've produced an OS that actually works, heh heh").
In short, just how incompetent does a company have to be in order for it to be obvious to you that such a question really was answered a long time ago?? Jim Steichen, Author of Amigatalk Last edited by stychokiller on 14-Jun-2007 at 07:17 AM. Last edited by stychokiller on 14-Jun-2007 at 07:16 AM.
