Well... at least it is Android which is not that bad at all. But I wouldn't run out and spend my cash on it. I'm more than satisfied with my GarminAsus smart-phone and for some time I've already decided that a tablet is not the gadget that I'm wanting.

Calling these Made-In-China-Costing-A-Cent-Sell-For-A-Dollar tablets Amiga is a bit of a shame in my opinion.

Yes, we all know that practically anyone with enough cash can get the rights to use Amiga name. That does not, however, makes it an Amiga. Why? Well, because by handing licenses left and right you are loosing the brands identity. Your brand becomes just a name without any content or value whatsoever. If Apple did similar thing it would not be Apple any more, would it?

In this case iContain 'Amigas' are nothing more than an Andorid enabled devices nothing less, nothing more. Amiga is not producing them, they don't run AmigaOS of any kind, it has no extra value added, so what it makes an Amiga? Nothing. So there you go.

SO COOL, I waited so long for this day! Though i could of bought the extract same device without Amiga branding off ebay at any time, now thats its got the name Amiga on it, it must be the next new real Amiga and be soo much cooler and a full Amiga experience me must go a order one right away!!!

Not just ebay. I guess you could get your tablet with whatever branding you want at chinavasion or comparable sites at any time at any quality. Calling it Amiga is... well... like getting Dacia Dusters and badge it Rolls Royce.

Really 1.6?

I'm an Android developer and we barely even support such old versions, almost everyone's running 2.1 at least. In fact I can tell you in our Numerix game we have 57% Froyo (that's 2.2), 38% 2.1 and 4% 1.6.

Releasing a 1.6 tablet is at best crazy and at worst a scam to palm off old stock. Shameful.

This is not an Amiga. It has no place here. Stick a Ferrari sticker on a Lada and it's still a Lada, sorry.

Tragic the way the Amiga brand has gone from one of the most legendary innovative brands in tech history, to a cheap brand like NOK or Alba that you see on no-name TVs in low-cost supermarkets, what a tragic undignified end.

Yup, as I said I went with first photo. My mistake. I have other problem with this tablet, I think it's unbranded device and thus it won't get Android's Marketplace. You can get Amazon's Appstore but only if you live in US, that would suck. Anyway, I'd love to buy some disposable tablet, but I don't think this is a thing for me.

This is Amiga Inc.'s final fatal body blow to Hyperion and company....and to the community at large. Oh well, we knew this was coming, so it should not be too surprising. It was only a matter of time. Too bad AInc. and Hyperion could not have found a way to settle their differences regarding AOS4 in an amicable way. This was the result. If you thought CUSA would seed confusion in the Amiga marketplace, this will seed utter chaos, at least IMHO. It's a sad day indeed, for me anyway.
