Against that power, governments, tyrants, and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learnt this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free."

LOL! I actually wrote a letter to Amiga Format with this quote. In fact, you've pretty much said exactly what I did!

@amipal

Some thoughts.

AMIGA - The Fun Returns

AMIGA - Computing Fun Returns

Amiga is a dream within a dream so perhaps

The Dream Continues - AMIGA OS

@amipal

Sorry for this late post/reply to you but after i read your post, i searched my old AF magazines and i found your letter to them. It had the same quote from Babylon 5!

Sorry!

I've watched every single episode that was showed here. In your letter to AF, you even asked 'Who are the Vorlons then?' - Right?

The Vorlons were one of my favourites, toghether with G'Kar's people.

Anyway, an Amiga slogan could be made with some 'elements' of B5 with it or everything showed in the slogan/ad that the Amiga was used for.

Sorry again but i didn't remembered that you wrote almost a similar letter to AF with that quote. It was so long ago!

So I am probably going to close this thread, better late than never, right?

well, do you remember this?
"Don't Let the Amiga Die"

It was very popular back in the 93/94.
I have not written a single line of code for the AmigaOS since 1996
but still today (osx/altivec/obj-c) I leave some hooks in my codes to
allow an hypotetic port ... well that pessimistic/nostalgic slogan
is still my favourite.

OT. does enyone know where can I get an AOS SDK and cross compilers
running hosted on my OSX machine?

Some thoughts after reading this tread:

Amiga: Alluring, Available – Amazing

Amiga: Yesterday, Today – The Future

Amiga: Yesterday, Today – Tomorrow

Amiga: Yesterday, Today – Timeless

@RoqueFort

As I used it before in all my posts, e-mails and quotes...

"Amiga, time has shown the difference..."

the best solution becouse the time has really shown
us the difference, there is nothing like Amiga.
I don`t know how do you manifest the current feelings
but in my case when we speak about Amiga it is the
same stuff as when we speak about some person that
we love most on this world... Sick, isn`t it?

All the best...

Indeed, if only we could convince non-Amigans of that.

Well, I'd rather have a loving relationship with a real woman than my Amiga.

Women are bad enough, with three orifices. Amigas are even worse, as they have...
Mmm... don't think I should go there again!
