I hope that's as good as it sounds! Congratulations to Hyperion. I'm not quite sure if this means some element of AmigaOS is being used or just Hyperion's understanding of the 3D drivers to enable some sort of custom project to be completed - but anything that gets revenue for Hyperion is good news.

That where nice Hyperion, A unexpected news item I most say, think this shows what level the MESA based driver for OS4 has come too, butt way did Smiths Aerospace not select the Linux 3D drivers?

Perhaps since Hyperion has a deal with ATI, something open-source hasn't, regarding information about ATI gfx-chips.

Because, Smiths Aerospace cannot charge alot of money for something that can be downloaded off the web for free. The client would not pay for it.

I would guess that there is more bespoke tailoring involved than just downloading the drivers off the web for Linux. They may well have a custom OS.
