What the heck are you talking about? Please enlighten us all. Threats from whom to whom?

I know last we heard this never got your board back from ACK. But I was curious, did these folks even get back to you in any way after you filed the complaint? Did they offer any other resources to pursue? Anything?

@fairlanefastback

#6 quoted ACK in another thread today and it got me reminded about this thread. I see that ackcontrls still actively logs in here, the last time being July 3rd. Its going on another quarter of a year since last asked about. Did ACK ever return Kneedeep's property or compensate him for it? Has it updated anyone in IRC about what is going on with their Amiga designs since Apple bought PA Semi?

oh dear...my intent was -not- to remind you.

That's really an issue for only Warren or Adam to comment on, not the general membership.

Has "it"?
If you mean Adam's designs, it's quite simple really. Bill made the announcements for Adam and seems quite comfortable speaking -for- him.
I suggest Bill would be the one to contact on that topic.

Thats fine. Adam can comment if he likes. He can not if he dosen't. It'd be nice to know if the last of the multple machines involved has finally made it home.

Yes "it", since ACK Software Controls, Inc. is a company.

Well only one of the two companies have a website. Where else would the joint press release get posted? The president of ACK Software Controls, Inc. posted on here confirming that news at the time as well and provided a quote for said press release. They also provided a company synopsis for that press release as well. Why should anyone have to go to Bill for Adam's opinion on a subject? If Bill published something inaccurate on amiga.com about their joint venture Adam is free to dispute it and ask them to take it down and/or retract it. So I don't see any reason to entertain some fantasy that Bill is speaking for Adam unless proven otherwise.

Even if it was true at the time?
Perhaps things change, as they often do over there.
I basically look at it as a historical repository for announcements that have yet to be withdrawn and/or recanted.

@All

To be honest I believe more in Natami becoming a reality than ACK. Actually, I want Natami more...it is like my A1200 but in steroed, resolved all sorts of limitation of my A1200 but an Amiga 1200 with muscles. This way I can enjoy AmigaSYS better, be able to develop games on it without fear of frame rate drop, have more CHIP RAM and still have the magical colors of the real A1200. My money is on Natami....

Are you guys still chasing ACK and kneedeeps board.

Logic dictates that adam used it as spareparts for the other boards

(sorry kneedeep...couldn't help it)

@Foody

AFAIK, the ack design board was abandoned for a new board coming from a 20 billions asian company. I wish Adam come back here to tell us the story, if true. Or just to tell how things are going on.

@AmigaBlitter

It doesn't change much AmigaBlitter. My eyes are on Natami, my A1200 is very old more than 10 years old and kicking. This baby my drop dead any moment, Natami is a master backup for better price than another old A1200. One thing Natami have is that it is a true A1200 with muscles, so I will be a fool not to have my eyes on Natami as a backup plan should my A1200 falter. If my A1200 falters it is only a matter of removing the HD and putting it on Natami, turn the baby on and bang...I have everything back on and better. AS LONG as it holds the true magic of A1200 with muscles then I am all in.

Hi Foody,

no doubt that the NatAmi is a great piece of hardware, but i'll keep an eye on the Sam440.

@all in MorphOS 2.4 - First Release with Mac mini Support who went off-topic.

Adam was the one who helped in the design on AmigaOneXE and uA1. He did the first RTL8029 driver for OS4 (that worked great), he added Mediator4000 support to Linux and other stuff you probably don't know but writting FUD is something you do very well.

Correct.

Quote:
yeah, the one who made possible that uA1 worked.

Correct.

Quote:
According to ACK 300 uA1 machines were produced.

Correct.

But if you read my posts about the refurbished/returned mobos that Rose (Amont) offered at one juncture, you should adjust that number down from the total produced. Some of that last group, which was intended to be fixed with Adam's help had CPU and some didn't. Demand was so great at that point that Softhut, who had a back order for about 40 was to be alotted only 2 of the entire batch.
In the end, the decision was made not to risk putting these refurbs on the market, so to speak.
Ergo, there are quite a lot less than 300 active Micro A1-C out in the wild.

Seems to take time.
Do you need more betatesters for the Uboot?
