@IKE

Where is declared GByteArray?

Why do you use HTMLText mcc?

Why do you use glib (GTK->MUI?) ?

In GLib.

@IKE
Ugh, really you should get rid of GLib. I notice you are using GByteArray and GList from GLib.

GList should be easily replaced by Exec lists.
GByteArray doesn't look like anything that couldn't be reimplemented in standard C, although I'm not entirely sure what it does.

@IKE

Cool, that you started this project!

I just started to use twitter and thought, man, Amiga lacks soft supporting this. :)

Hope you will be thinking of all the ways to interact (plugin, notification systems etc)

Would like to test it, but think I am too busy atm, not that there is an to many beta projects overflow error. ;)

Wish you all the best!

CU,
Mario

@padrino

Not too bad...I was able to compile it (but not test it) for MorphOS yesterday using AmiDevCpp. According to one of my betatesters it is working (somewhat) and no longer crashing on MorphOS as the OS3 version did...

Still much to do...move from proof-of-concept to an actual application, transition to HTMLview, error checking, UTF-8 support, catalogs, etc. etc. The list goes on and on...

Latest screenshot is here:

Those interested in contributing to the sourcecode can request to join the project (gcc/MUI) at:

Here's some updated screenshots. I'm hopeful for a an early beta release in the upcoming weeks...

Latest OS 3.x/MorphOS screenshots are here:

Those interested in contributing to the sourcecode can request to join the project (gcc/MUI) at:

Also, I could use a few more betatesters (currently OS 3.x & MorphOS only). If interested, please PM me.

Looks great, I wish it would run on OS4.1, I don't have an OS3 system, but badly need a twitter app. I still have to have my macbook by my side for twitter everytime I'm on the Ami.

D*mn, I really wonder why the notification does not work for me with aw.net?

@IKE
Nice to see the progress. Just spotted the public beta (a bit late, I know).

Unfortunatelly the OS3 version just crashes on startup (using OS4 here), so no real life testing (don't know, if you could make anything out of a grim reaper log?).
Well, still hoping it will run on OS4 one day. :)
Think with OS4.1u1's notifivation system "Ringhio" OS4(.1) might be the perfect OS for that kind of app. :)

CU,
Mario

@padrino

No need for the logs...last I checked OS 4 lacks a glib port/implementation and therefore a native compile is not possible. The OS 3 version is compiled with ixemul, which is what crashes on OS 4. The MorphOS version is compiled with the -noixemul option (hence it's file size...).

On another note, localization is almost complete and will be released in the next Beta, so if anyone is interested in doing some catalogs for me, please send me a PM.

Below, are some updated screengrabs and download links if you need further info.

Hi,

Not sure if you are still developing AmiTwitter but would love to see a port for OS4.1.2

I opened my Twitter account ages ago but have only just started using it on a regular business.

I know I can boot up OWB, iBrowse or other browser to check my account but would prefer a client app.

I now it's been a while and the v0.29 was the last release.

@1Mouse

IKE ceased development effective when twitter basic auth. ended. In one of his last tweets he stated that he didn't have time to devote and hopes that someone works on the code.
