| Ok. I sat here and meditated. And speculated........
What is X? What is "Insert product here"? X = "Insert product here"
So I contend that X is just another term for MAP and probably isn't a product name. (Of course why you would go to the trouble of creating an X logo.....I can't explain other than misdirection) Unless the product really is called X which is just silly. Lord knows Microsoft tacks X onto any tech it can regardless of version number (unlike MacOSX).
Next, when you click on the X logo you get to the classic guru meditation screen. I contend, therefore, that X has something to do with classic machines, or more to the point, emulation of classic machines. Perhaps there is some way to gain greater emulation capabilities of classic Amigas within OS4. Perhaps through custom chips on an FPGA. Who knows? It could just be including old kickstarts with OS4 for emulation, which perhaps is allowed after the lawsuit resolution.
Left clicking displays a pulsing OM. Well, that is merely what people hum when they meditate and I contend it can be discarded as a clue. The clue is really the guru meditation error and the implication of Classic emulation.
Next you are presented with an OS4 window with an X icon. There is a message at the top of the screen "Something to meditate on". Presumably clicking on an icon within OS4 will launch that program.....and this may imply, with the connotation of "meditate on" that it is a classic app that we are launching. When you click on the icon, effectively requesting the answer, you are presented with a glowing "ENIGMA" icon. X = ENIGMA
So finally, whatever technology X is called (perhaps Enigma), it will be something to do with running classic emulation within OS4 far more efficiently than is possible today.
I have thought about this way too hard.... Going to bed now.

| @All We have (among other things): Quote:
What is X, if not a letter, Perhaps an Omen, or even better? |
(note the capitalization) and
OM + ENIGMA, which is also OMEN + IGMA
What is "Omen?" I've briefly Googled "omen" with "software," "computer," "handheld," and "cellphone" and can't make much out of it. There is an "Omen Software" (in Atlanta, GA, USA) that has a "Coming Soon" on their website (it may have been coming for a long time, though).
So, "X," "eon," "EDF," "omen," "enigma," etc. What now? |

An enigma is a type of riddle generally expressed in metaphorical or allegorical language that requires ingenuity and careful thinking for its solution. _________________ Sam460ex : Radeon Rx550 Single slot Video Card : SIL3112 SATA card |

| @ The sound OM is Brahman. The rishis and sages practiced austerity to realize that Sound-Brahman. After attaining perfection one hears the sound of this eternal Word rising spontaneously from the navel. "'What will you gain', some sages ask, 'by merely hearing this sound?' You hear the roar of the ocean from a distance. By following the roar you can reach the ocean. As long as there is the roar, there must also be the ocean. By following the trail of OM you attain Brahman, of which the Word is the symbol. That Brahman has been described by the Vedas as the ultimate goal." _________________ Sam460ex : Radeon Rx550 Single slot Video Card : SIL3112 SATA card |

'Eon' is the American spelling, the British (and European?) spelling is 'aeon'. |

And 'X' can mean unknown or mysterious - like X-Rays, so named because they were previously unknown phenomena. Or 'Planet X'. Or indeed 'X-Files'!
So X in this case may just mean that there is a mystery.
At the moment we are assuming that all this is to do with the MAP, but it isn't necessarily the case. All that the website has told us so far is that there is a mystery, it hasn't claimed to be the MAP; if it is, it hasn't told us anything about what the MAP is. |

| I have two theories ...
1) The "X" in the original webpage is actually an X shaped puzzle piece that is part of a larger picture that contains something that is yellow and black. Maybe from a really cool new game that runs on OS4.x.
-- or --
2) [Dream mode on ...] X-windowing capabilities will allow us to use some sort of thin client package on a laptop or notebook or PSP or PS3 or iPod touch or whatever to access applications on an OS4 host device. Maybe a way has been found to separate OS4 from the limited graphics RAM on the MicroA1. For example, a small OS4 host server box with lots of RAM could be parked anywhere in your home or apartment (such as in a bookcase) and you could access your Amiga programs from your laptop at the kitchen table or your iPod touch while sitting in your easy chair in the living room. The only other external device that might be required is a router with wireless access for the thin client device. The OS4 host box would probably be hooked up by ethernet network cable to the router.

Should be a number (10, like 2010 ), strange typeface though. Another clue is the two colours (black/yellow : YellowDog linux for PS3?! No idea). Om is the Guru sound (Guru Meditatiuon!).
The 4.1 window with the ? : maybe an X-windows related s/w (we already have the full enviroment , AmiCygnix)?_________________ Ordell Robbie: Is she dead, yes or no? Louis: Pretty much. |

No accident, it`s not the stock GIF pic around the net, it was created for the page
