A-eon is a company set up by Hyperion (or at least Ben Hermans) to handle the hardware side of business separately from the Software.

is this so? i mean ben left his managing partner job some month/years ago. is/was he still part of hyperion? is a-eon the hardware side of hyperion?
it may be so but this is not yet revealed?

regards...

@KimmoK

I'm guessing that the new X chip will work the same way that NVIDIA GPU's do with their CUDA feature: http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_home.html

... Meaning that X could behave as a 'normal cpu', or as anything else once a piece of software has been created to change its behaviour.

Almost as if an old idea that didn't work out is being improved and used again. A bit like Transmeta or something. Is parallel a reference to parallel computing?

@ErikBauer

You just described the whole idea behind the C-One - which I personaly still rate as one of the most innovative products of the last decade. Unfortunately it never took off.

@Zylesea

"It never took off" as for "Once tought to be lost"?

Men, I think every single clue drives to C-One concept, at least to me...

In the screenshot with the 8 processes, each process is called 'giantkiller'.

Which may refer to the fact that this new Amiga is going head to head with the PC - Mac and Linux - hence it would have to be a 'giant killer'.

Ahh - you see now I thought the man behind the puzzles was you.

When it was mentioned it was a famous Amiga journalist - my fave CU Amiga writer came instantly to mind. But now even this is a mystery - however I am pleased that you seem to be involved.

Here's something to help you guys solve the riddles while I get some sleep...

This kind of riddles hides the answer in the grammar and spelling, so to find out what Xena is, one or more words have to be recreated with:

"To start=first letter(s), just look at the very first page"
X?

"To follow=next letter(s), begin where Nemo entered into a rage."
C (sea)?, N(autilus)?

"Then add to that=next letter(s) what the Phoenicians used to see"
I (eyes)? What else would/did they use to see?

"The end was found=last letter(s), fricatively wound, in the branches of the very first tree."
th ch s and f all are fricative consonants

"My whole=complete word(s) was born in a place where a Celtic river was by Saxons, crossed" (that one is a bit trickier)

Good luck! I want the correct answer by the time I wake up

So the CPU unit is XEnon and ofcourse has 3 cores

Rogue pls confirm :)

@fibi

It does not have 3 cores.
It has one or two. I bet two. See Rogue's post.

@all

Any new ideas of/from my avatar.

Lets add an -isable.

The last X word on that page is Excited. If you add an -isable to that you get eXcisable. Which means Removable or can be cut out...

Since 8 has been hinted as not being the case and 1 being no good + the giant killer screenshot---> Dual Core PPC CPU

The mithology talk points more toward the Titan CPU than other solutions (that have no mithology connections), while on the Nemo motherboard, the jobs generally taken care of by a simd unit (ie:Altivec) will be taken care by the much more powerful Xena part, which will probably be able to do (but not limited to) what Altivec does way way better.
