@OlafS25

As a user and not a beta tester I think it means a big chunk of the work is done, the HAL has been written to work with the tabor, it means kickstart is loading and runing, the kernal, graphics.library, pci bus, ram, radeon drivers, dos.library and probably a lot more modules are working. It's probably booting via network at the moment and waiting for sata drivers to be finished before workbench can be tried.

It's a big step forward, great work Thomas!

@Severin

Do you know about these things or is it just your assumptions ?

To me it's just a picture of a dirty screen...

The most important news in his post is this "I'm preparing for a whirlwind trip to California to attend Dave Needle's memorial service" and you're complaining about blablabla, quite sad.

Yes, apparently we now live in a world where OS developers send around pictures of dirty screens, and investors thank them for doing that.

@Birbo

My assumptions as a user which is why I started "as a user and not".

The only reason (clean and not amiga fetishistic) I can think of for Thomas to send Trevor that pic is to show the tabor has got that far and all that it implies.

@IanP

Well Tabor's specs, vs what I can get with higher end ARM systems is not encouraging.
Because I am taking some classes I can buy an Nvidia Tegra X1 developers board for about $299.
More cores, 64 bit...

@tommysammy

I am really sorry if you feel this way. That wasn't my intention at all.

The loss of Dave Needle is the most important thing at this point ant I really didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

I'm sorry for that.

@tommysammy

we already had lots of threads about the sad event

another part of it was the screenshot. I do not see it as shameful to discuss

Cyborg who is heavily involved in AOS 4.X development wrote that they will not start with Tabor before finishing X5000

so we will see...

@OlafS25

Well, if Thomas has no issues for X5000 assigned to him (allthough this is speculation), then who are you to say what he can or can't work on?

I can give you the link to Cyborg who seems to have some inside knowledge as one of the main programmers

I do not speculate

you and others are doing that
