It's a pleasure to inform Amigans that Cloanto agreed to share one of his Amiga software MasterPiece, Cloanto Personal Paint, with the Porting Team:

Thank you to Michele Battilana and Cloanto.
Andrea Afxgroup already ported the majority of code/libraries to Amiga OS4.x PPC. A little work remain to be done yet to complete the port.

P.S.

I just now now discovered that Andread Afxgroup can even write "ciao da acube"

P.P.S
I can assure you will get goose bumps using again Cloanto Personal Paint!

Ah, memories!!!

@AmigaBlitter

68k version probably worked OK on OS4, but native is always nice.

PPaint is paint my favourite paint application for Amiga.

@AmigaBlitter

This is awesome news, when it came to paint programs PPaint was the one I always returned to.

PPaint 8.0 native on PPC OS4.1 would be great.

Can you say how long before release?

Yes, the 68k version worked but it was buggy.
It crashed when using the fill tool sometimes.

Benjamin West, aka TheAMIgaOne, joined the team.
Benjamin is a Java, C cross-programmer, with a knowledge of win32, AmigaOS and linux.
He's a good thinker over problems.

Welcome onboard, Benjamin.

Maybe I missed it but to which mail address?

Another question: Do you also think about porting/developing non-game software (would appreciate a more modern messanger which is capable of handling different accounts - maybe an up to date version [including interface + GUI] of JabberWocky?)?

(BTW: Maybe somebody can tell me how to model such kind of landscape and buildings which are shown in screenshot of post 29 or at least forward me to appropriate tutorials?)

Good stuff. I quite like PPaint.
I must admit though Im a little surprised as I was under the impression it was written in blitz. I guess this dis-spells that rumor then?

How's the "recruiting" going by the way? Do you have anyone from MOS and/or AROS camps as well yet?
