@iggy

you can preorder already the card and the core will be available in just few weeks

Where are the X5000 you want to buy? Do you also think it is Vapor because only few machines exist?

No, if my main legacy system was an A500 I'd want one.
I prefer my A200, and would buy one for that.
AND if A1200 were as easily obtainable as they were a few years ago, I'd buy one in anticipation.

No one seems to understand my point that relying on Gunnar to produce something in a timely fashion is foolish.
'Feature creep' ought to be his nickname.

@kipper2k

Thanks for the answers. I am surprised to find out that you are assembling the boards yourself, instead of having some Chinese company do the assembly, or placing of components onto the PCB's for you, then finishing some small amount of work before they can be shipped out to buyers.

There seems to be a great demand for these boards, so hand assembly by only two people may take lots of time to make hundreds of boards. Or maybe I am wrong and only 50 to 150 boards will be sold.

@wawa

For those people that paid the pre order price before it was closed last week, the price was 120 euro. All of these pre-orders will be managed by Majsta. The USD has made purchase of parts more expensive and there has also been updates to the original design such as HDMI, SD card and an extra 64MB Ram so i believe there will be an increase in the price. Majsta will control pricing and i will honour his pricing. The building of the boards by Majsta and myself will reduce the cost of the boards by at least 40% and also eliminate the risk of bad investment with the wrong fabrication house, import fees, taxes, and possible faulty products. I think once the first few owners receive their cards then demand wll start to climb, how fast is unknown

There will also be added features at a later date, i will not mention these just yet as we want you to base your purchase on the currently advertised features to prevent future issues. The price of the A500 board is expected to be the same as the A600 version with the A1200 version being the most expensive. Compared to the older and less horsepower accelerators out there this is a very good product with untouchable speed and features

New video (OS3.5 and few games - nice look at compatibilty)

Still kickstart 3.1, meaning no ROM updates. Still not showing Reaction working, just a few seconds to demo that prefs programs work would do!

Video does not say whether FPU is used or not. I actually expected the Vampire to be much faster.

Yes as some one who don't care about Vampire and Apollo, I don't think it's right of oss, to hijack this topic, at least we should gave people who are interested in Vampire and Apollo a chance to enjoy it.

Then be coherent: reply not only to me, but to ALL people which got OT.

As it is faster than 68060 with FPU, I bet FPU is used...

CPU lists only CPUs it knows - if Apollo says it is 68040, CPU command will believe it is really 68040...
