According to X5000blog at the recent Amiga32 event Wings Remastered got released, quite surprise to see this as I followed Goldencode blog http://www.goldencode.de/amiga/ and facebook with no word on release. Plus I pre-ordered/backed the project 2 years ago and so surprised to not get an update on this? has anyone else who backed the game got any news?

Anyway it still good news (was worried for a little while it was going to be vaperware) but still would of been nice if the people who backed this game got it first. or a least some kind of update.

After talking with Daniel on Saturday at the Amiga32 show, he told me that it is in the final stages before release. He did not give me any release dates.

Hi Vincent, Sven did let me know that it wasn't totally complete but that the version I purchased was quite playable with the final update to come shortly.

To be fair I was surprised to see it and was waiting for it to be finished before buying but if a few extra sales at the Amiga32 event means the game gets finished totally then it will be worth it. Am sure you will get a copy soon. Sven running Retroware seems ligit and is a nice dude.

The copies he had were going like hotcakes but am sure the ones who have been pre-ordered previously have been set aside.

"Wings Remastered for Amiga has been released, and I got my copy. You get two CDs, one was empty and one with the 95% finished game".

I'm waiting too for my copy that I pre-ordered long time ago

Well hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer just installed the show version on my X5000 and it looks stunning in 1920x1080 with HD output.

For those who have ordered I perhaps suggest emailing Sven via the Cinemaware website. Pretty sure of he was happy for the game to go out as is at the show he can start to send you your copies.

The game is updateable via a link in the game folder for when this is complete.

Aww look, another case of caring customer service.

I too was one of the stupids that *pre*ordered the game many moons ago to help development and to realise the effort, with the promise to get it FIRST...ahead of everyone else.

And now they are throwing out copies at fairs i'm not able or willing to attend to?

Thank you Cinemaware for pissing one of your last customers off and thank you for sending me stupid update eMails about stuff i never bought (Rocket Ranger, Defender of the Crown) but "forget" to send an update about the product i wasted money on.

Ok i can understand people's frustrations that they have not been updated, I too would be annoyed if I had pre-ordered too. As it happens I was waiting myself for it to be released before committing and it was a shock to many of us in attendance, but can you not try to see it from the other side?

Correct me if I am wrong but the game was struggling to get 300 orders needed to break even, surely if there is an opportunity to get some concrete orders i.e cash to finish off development then surely this is a good thing for us all?

I think the main problem for the AOS version of Wings is that the PC version was released way earlier. Most of those of us that wanted a updated Wings version instantly purchased it for PC, and when the pre-order for Amiga arrived, Daytona kinda fell between two chairs.

I purchased most of Cherry Darlings games, but for IOS. I dont have NG Amiga, and as such either purchase his game on mainstream platform OR if he ever starts developing for Vampire.

I am lead to believe Daniel is juggling quite a few projects at the moment and as is natural any focus should always be on the one which is likely to bring in some cash after all a dude has to eat right?

From playing with this so far, I think he has done a really good job on this, graphics wise it looks totally stunning and I am not usually a fan of these type of games. Compared to the original Wings game, this really does improve on the original.

I hope others who haven't picked up a copy yet or are sitting on the fence, order a copy and give this the support it deserve and which to be fair has been lacking thus far and I was guilty of this too for not pre-ordering at the time thinking it wouldn't come out.

For those who have pre-ordered this I suggest emailing Sven directly and see what he wants to do with your order, either give you it as is and recieve an update online when it is finished or wait for the complete finished product. He is an approachable dude, so I am sure he will find a solution for you all

As soon daytona it has finished we will here it and it would be soon hes working hard on it every day now.
