Hello all! Long time no post!

I've plugged in my AmigaOne for the first time in roughly a year. Back then, I swapped the internal cell battery as the original had long since expired.
The machine booted fine last October, but this year I don't seem to be getting any sound from it (nor do I remember any sound from it last year).

What do I need to check? I don't recall changing any settings, and everything appears to be plugged in correctly.

Spec: AmigaOne XE G4, 512MB, AGP Radeon 9000Pro, Terratec 512 soundcard.
Running AmigaOS 4.0 (yes, I need to upgrade... that's actually why I plugged it back in!).

edit: it was the cabling. Admin, please delete post if you see this!

@amipal

Glad you got it working! Are you thinking of making a new AmigaOne video for your YouTube-channel?

No, don't delete this post. It is nothing to be ashamed of and it may help others in troubleshooting. Often one is not looking for the obvious, but for far more complex reasons of ill-behaviour.

It was Sunday October 30, 2021 that I collected my x5000 again from storage after sitting there for about half a year. Whatever I tried, booting was not performed. Is it the harddisk? Is it the PSU? No, after half a dismantling I found a SATA cable to be malfunctioning. Or so I thought. I replaced it of course and, lo' and behold! there it was again.
Double check: swap both SATA cables again and it booted just fine, so the cable must have been making bad contact although it was of a clipped variety, meaning it has a locking clip at each end meant to keep the cable in place.

Regards
OldFart
