As I say,I love my AmigaOne X5000 that it has games awesome and I play music CDs and the things.

Well the thing at all is that I usually play music CDs but in general once more the Grim Reapers but no problem as the AmigaOS does everything for me and fine.

Is more stable than ever but I suspect sometimes it freeze or freezes but that's another task or another point of view.

In fact I think it ever ran stable until Amedia touches and repair it the Hardware and software issues or probs.

I've actually lost track with the different Hyperion and Enhancer A-Eon updates which is a good thing I guess as better to have updates than no updates but be nice to get the Hyperion/Cloanto/Amiga Corp. legal stuff out of the way once and for all!

Now back to the point of this thread and NO I don't love the X5000 because I LOVE my X1000

Only NASA used hundreds of A4000s to make on their operations on space so all is gone and well.

I wish I got that feeling back, I did love my x1000, before it developed issues two years ago, I finally started off this year from scratch, fresh install, and it’s a lot better but I’m still (on a fairly raw install) getting the odd lockup and crash, just running a-eon updater seems to be hit or miss. Or even when I dragged a icon down to be added to the x dock another crash, I can’t help but feel maybe the core apps should be a bit more stable, unless I still have a unknown gremlin with my x1000, I decided to keep the system at least for the time being, so instead of love, we’re just maybe now good friends.

oh shoot sorry to hear you still are having issues with your X1000. Have you tried changing the ram stick(s)? Also did you change the CMOS battery?

I can confirm XDOCK being horrible program, remove it from wbstartup at once.

And I agree they should force people to use broken software.

Another one of AEON product Multiviewer, great it supports protracker modules, but as soon as try access menu the modules pause, why on earth does it do that, what does the music have to do with the menu. It feels like using a single tasking OS.

It be a lot better if modules where opened up in TuneNet or AmigaAMP when clicked on it.

You use the right-mouse to access the menu ? Wasn't this always the case in the old days, that everything halts in the Workbench?

when access the workbench menu, workbench does a intuition lock, to prevent the graphic being updated, but this should not affect other screens or music.

This last Xmas marked the the 5 years since I bought my X5000,
it has worked flawless and I hope it will do for many years.

I have upgraded it with a SSD, Catweasel MKIV+, ESI Juli@ soundcard
over the years, next upgrades will be a Radeon RX and a SATA card.

I got mine last year. Tinkering around and trying to use AmigaOS4.1 and its software in a productive way is sometimes challenging but still fun.

Yes, a little bit expensive but I plan (and hope) to use this system for years to come.

changed Cmos, moved ram around, but I do feel its more software issues now, I have two setup one OS4 focus and one A-eon focus, so far spent more time in the A-eon build just because its meant to be the more advance setup, ran int a few crashs, so now next time im on the system will try the Os4 focus build to see how that runs (the only A-eon bit of software on there is the Radeon Drivers.)

Yeah I upgraded the X5000 (buyed on the fall of 2016 received on February 2017) with a VD Elements 2 GB I think external USB HD and it rocks.Anyway I haven't used too much still.Nice adittion anyway heh
