So i ordered pagestream pppc v.4 for os4 paid for it and now it will not exist? but i get to keep my 68k version and try again to buy version 5? no one there offered me version 5 inplace of the version 4 i ordered. interesting because on their site in the downloads there is a download site for v4 but there are no files to downlpaid never have been. this is why since then i dob not preorder. even the best intended companies can shake your faith when you preorder.

Don't worry, if Grasshopper does not produce an OS4 version of PgS4, you will get PgS5 instead. Deron will never write off his dedicated Amiga crowd.

Rather than spend effort porting PGS4 and then more effort on PGS5, Deron is going straight to PGS5. I'd strongly recommend you email Grasshopper and explain the situation if you can't access the current download areas and think you should be able to.
Talk to them. They're very keen to help out wherever possible. :) _________________ Happiness is mandatory. MindSpace: MindMaps and UML diagrams for OS4

There won't be a PPC version of PGS4. The policy is to keep versions in line with each other across the different platforms supported. |
of course there will be an os4 native ppc version of pgs4! you were able to order it (i did!) pgs4 is using the same sources pgs5 uses. just "some" defines in the sourcefiles. pgs5 is developed first and as soon as this is "released" the ppc native version of pgs4 will see the light. (and this is no speculation this is what deron once wrote in the pagestream mailing list!)

That is what I was wondering, I have a feeling that may take some time in itself!

I think this one should be okay, apparently the Windows version of Papyrus is pretty good, so I would expect the Amiga/MorphOS versions to be pretty similar once enough development time is put into them!

I think the short answer is no! An A1-XE was offered to assist the development shortly after the required number of pre-orders was met, but was rejected by the developer who confirmed at the time he had no interest in producing an OS4.0 native version.

Another proof of paying for a SW before an uninterested/non-motivated developer does anything for OS4 is a bad idea. Hopefully Sputnik story will not end like this. |

They never charged the credit-cards, so people didn't lose money on this one.

OK, thanks, I thought that's where things fell out, but wasn't positive.. Has anyone tried to contact them recently, or gotten any further news on why or why not, etc?
