Why not making him like a 'moderator for a day' this would be very funny

@DaveyD

I be voting for Atheist, but I don’t think every one will like that, and I have no idea if Atheist functional as moderator but we be getting a clean house really fast.

Well a moderator needs to be active member or else it kind of useless.

Rogue
Entilzha
Ikir
Jahc
Toaks
Herewegoagain
cHaOs667
zerohero
Antique
Fransexy
Ami603
GuruMeditation
Chip
sg2

I propose that we add some kind voting system on the community member profile, so we can vote on how we do not like and how we like, the few that we do not like get thrown out, the ones that gets most positive votes becomes moderators automatically.

One more idea is to disallow newly registered members from creating own tread until they have 1000 or more points, also having serious tread blocked from users under 2000 points, the user that creates the thread should be able administrate the threshold values.

Being allowed to privileges should be earned, if you act like idiot no then there should be consequences, the sites guide lines are just guide lines anyway, some one might be whit in his rights of the sites rules but might be acting like asshole anyway.

Yeah, that would be very nice for new Amiga-users who have problems with their setup, just registered here and would like to seek help in the forums - NOT.

@hatschi

Come on --- of the 4492 registered users (as of Oct 8th), 4463 had less than 2000 comments (i.e. 29 had at least 2000, of whom the most recent one joined more than 18 months ago). For 1000 comments, the numbers were 4405 vs 87, and all but one joined more than 12 months ago (the one exception being Hatschi, who had 1154 comments having joined on Dec 2, 2005).

Just think how much bandwidth you could save.... Especially as the new rabble wouldn't be able to earn points through posting comments.....

@Fransexy

I will only vote for you if you use your previous avatars! I miss the girl with the two big "boing balls"

I would vote for zerohero, but I guess he has more interesting hobbies (like doing excellent cross compilers!)

@eMike

Atheist as a mod, lol, I just noticed that he got banned again - must have missed his latest rant. Why don't we just nominate the "top 5" regarding abuse reports as mods and skip this poll? Helgis and Atheist would be included for sure...

Do you really want

rock_55
Helge
Frags
Atheist
d0c
nicholas
maria_22

as moderators (Those were the top 7 --- there was a three way tie for 5th :)? Especially as between them, they had 17,906 days of suspension left....

@umisef

Ahh, I just *love* your statistics.
Now I will have to search for maria_22 (that must have been before I joined) in order to confirm her aptitude as a moderator. Doesn't AW.net support equal opportunities for women when looking for new moderators? ;)

No maria_22 where one that use to post comments on ann.lu, in the most distasteful ways imaginable.

Seriously, some people around here just need a behaviour correction. No respect for others at all but 100% "free speech" or whatever excuse they want to hide behind. Pull the choke chain.. hard!

Some people just need to grow up. If p*ssing off other people is how you entertain yourself, you clearly have too much free time on your hands.

Here in the States we call it being an "###hole."

Or Republican.
