The colour component signals are not available at the connector (in the right form). Therefore you need some external electronics to generate them. It's non-trivial.

Thats a fair enough comment, it can be easily seen that way from outside of EAB. There is enough dubious traders in the community that its best to err on the side of caution!
However as you have noticed, I have always subscribed to the philosophy "If there is no product there is no money transaction" and its been awkward for some, a lot of people want new hardware for their Amiga's and I have at times been PM'd to death asking for my PayPal details its been a little crazy, but thats the community i love... full of crazy people :D
@All
About the SVideo Adapters
Just before Christmas last year, I was lucky to get involved with a nice guy from Canada Narmi, as he developed the first 23pin Amiga RGB to NTSC SVideo adapter, together with a lot of help from Narmi, we developed the Narmi External unit, which features Switchable NTSC/PAL, 15Khz VGA and Composite, I wanted to put as much value in for these adapters as possible, to run from the Amiga 23 pin Video port. so I sent Narmi around $100 for components to develop the prototype boards.
However, after building the prototype boards (not assembling them lol) so i could test the 750ohm pull down on the 15Khz VGA out, I have run out of time and money for personal projects, with the Wife, Childling and Uni, not to mention the Christmas fall out! LOL crazy is a word reserved the things we put ourselves through that time of year!!!
Anyway long story short, I was hoping to have time (and money) last month to finish of the prototype boards (theres 4 and all shouted for lol I didn't even get one!!!! LMAO) alas the washer dryer went bang and a few other things were needed for the house (stern looks from wifies have a tendency to chill a man) so that again put a lot on hold, Although i mentioned this in the thread on EAB. (well the washer dry incident not the wifie evils lol)
@Benji
yes, i believe i know this Zetr0 you speak of, I am a firm believer in the community decides what to make of one, so please check out my Post Whoring on EAB, www.amibay.net, and Old Skool Forums *worries about what the google search may bring up..... remember i was young and needed the money.... *ahem) oh and while i think about it my eBay member id is Zeteron :)
On another note, the A1200 actually DOES have the signals for SVideo, you will need to de-solder some components and solder some wires to the motherboard so if your feeling brave i can post a schematic if you wish :D.... maybe a how to.... but this would need some coffee first me thinks..
Anyway please register your interest in the SVideo unit on EAB, it will give me an idea on the size of batch runs and how many runs. As i mentioned before I wont ask for any money UNLESS there is a product i can ship you.
If i can be of any more help... i shall be lurking around here or on EAB.... :)

Zetro is a nice guy, and one of the main people involved in setting up Amibay (IIRC).
@Zetro
Fancy seeing you here! I don't tend to visit EAB much these days, perhaps I should. I've been mainly lurking on AW.net and A.org for the past few months - decided I was spending too much time trawling the net looking for Amiga info, whilst avoiding the stack of work I REALLY should to be doing. _________________ Troll - n., A disenfranchised former potential customer who remains interested enough to stay informed and express critical opinions. opp., the vast majority who voted silently with their feet. |

Is there any update to this? Is Narmi on aw.net? _________________ Men who have girlies in their avatars are Girliemen! |

| If you know a little about electronics,you can build your own I have here built into my A1200 motherboard with not a single wire or extra components to be seen. The only thing that can be seen when viewing A1200 from above is the socket nothing else.
Everything is solder embedded into the A1200 motherboard underside and is now part of motherboard using small components. _________________ The Machine: Bride Of The Pin•Bot by Williams Electronics |

zetro seems to be a nice fella, i dont doubt!...

http://www.amigamaniac.com/RGB_to_PAL_NTSC_adapter.html
this guy has been through several revisions, and has worked out the bugs.... and has them in stock.
i use one of his boards on my a500 and so does cammyiirc.
