THe dual core power isa 2.04+ is old. The exact frequency (1.8GHz) is new to me.
Maybe it was already revealed in an interview in a magazine or something?

Hm, I think you might be right. I was sure I'd read the frequency somewhere but I might be mistaken on that one.

Edit: In fact I'm now quite sure you are right, I don't think the frequency was revealed before indeed.

I wonder how literally we must take the "+" of " 2.04+"?

Does it now mean that the CPU is newer than ISA 2.04?

(mostlikely not, it was previously said that x1000's will have PPC ISA 2.04 and newer)

Also I wonder if the memory is on two memory buses, so that the interface is 2x 64 bit (@800Mhz). Or does it require the SMP AOS4 to use the second MMU.

@Johan

...I suppose it is one of the reasons why Trevor has started a "sam for software" scheme...

@TrevorDick

There's this new upcoming technology called RSS/ATOM feeds. Some use it to distribute news.

I like the new website! (But there are some minor graphical glitches to fix.) Otherwise it is "interesting" with the OS4 Windows, you can resize and close them like you would expect, a really cool thing, or pretty awesome actually!

@TrevorDick

I tried a million times trying to register for a news update also. No go. Using FF3.6

Great site btw, love it!

Strange, I've tried FF 3.5.9 & IE8 (Windows), OWB (AmigaOS4) and FF3.5.6 (Ubuntu) and have managed to register without problem? I must admit I click on the security code several times until I get a code I can definitely be sure of. Anyone else having similar registration problems?

@Shufflepuck

One ugly site for sure. But I suppose the intention was to generate an '80s feel to it and that it succeeds in doing, if the web were around in 1985 that's what it would look like....

There seems to be something funny with the CSS, the text doesn't stay in the boxes when I use my iPhone. Not to say that's bad, the boxes are way too small anyway.

It beats the old Amiga Inc. site hands down! It is also my first 'LIVE' experience of Amiga OS4.x style GUI and windows! Very cool and there's more to come!

I've forwarded the link to my retro-computer loving friend as he is always interested how the Amiga is doing!

Like i said in previuos threads, it's definitively a PASemi.

What i've won?

You, perhaps, have won the ability to buy a computer with the PA Semi chip in it.

While this still doesn't feel like reality to be PA6T, it would be fantastic. We don't know much detail about the first Titan chip, that's the only other possible choice for us. Until we do know more about Titan, the PA6T is the best PPC chip that ever was from out perspective, but hard to get over how unlikely it is.

The site works perfectly well here on my Nokia N900 with Firefox

Works nice here, FF3.6.3 (Loose, ermh, Win), only one try needed. Maybe some peeps here ignore non-caps by accident?

@billt

if PASemi processor story will turn to be true - i ask to myself why so much secrecy.
Maybe it's a complete different processor. I still hope for the cell processor, even if the spec are really different from what we know till now.

Heh, yes some are hard to make any sense of, at least for a tired soul. Ill try from some different browser Epiphany perhaps works or add a jpeg to ascii convert to lynx perhaps.

Question though, would it be possible to drop an even faster CPU in there at some point?

Spot on, and on top off that lets see what gets created with XMOS on board.

If they fulfil the XMOS potential I will definitely want one.
