And AFAIK there's a VRAM limit of 4MB or so which would be a show killer pretty soon because there are lots of textures. And depending on resolution the color/depth-buffer alone will eat up a significant amount of VRAM already.
Just for fun I could probably check if it's running inside emulation and if it is then I could automatically downscale all textures etc. But even if that works: the quality loss will be huge.

@buyers:

Any info on the policy to be taken when the project cancelled?

I'd like to preorder it but the target sale is probably a bit high for the current userbase, so I don't like to be get some pc version at last.

Demo works perfectly on my AmigaOne 500 - the compositing version. However on the 3D isometric level I did go off-screen and couldn't get back no matter what I tried!

On XE got lost too but it's a pre-demo. In my system no sound. (Have still some mixer+XE problems) In the "real" flying got a big brown triangle polygon half of the viewable space so not much to see.

I didn't like the original as the Wings cover too much from the viewing space. Now with a "Super-Amiga" compared to those times got even less to see. Like looking and trying to shoot from a keyhole;)

@PR
Flying of the playfield, that' normal in that demo But your brown polygon, that's weird. Could you please tell me your exact setup (gfx-card, screen settings (depth, res). OS / driver versions if possible) and which demo version you tried (Warp3D or Compositing) ? And maybe take a handy photo of that issue? Thanks!

Ordered mine. Order number was over 120 which seems pretty healthy.

@Lazi

If the Amiga specific versions don't reach the minimum sales, development of it will be cancelled and all pre-orders get a complete refund.

@PR
hm, well, have no idea what could cause that weird issue on your end. Especially because you say that it only happens in the "real" flying, by which you certainly mean the dogfight sequence only. The thing is: from a technical point of view the bombing and strafing missions are just as 3D as those. It would probably help if you could post a handy photo of the issue after you mounted your winter tires

@klx300r
@CarasGhant
Thanks Feb. 2016 is the target date.
The order number is a bit misleading: it didn't start at 0 but 40 or so and "Defender of the Crown" orders increment that number too. But afaik there are a bit more than 100 preorders already.

@Lazi
@Raziel
Yes, if the preorder goal isn't reached, then you get your money back.
Cinemaware will give more detailed / official information on all this asap. On the german a1k forum they already posted, they should come here soon too.

@Seiya
Yes, without 3D acceleration it won't be playable, not even on AROS x86.
Exception of that rule: the AOS4 Compositing version, but here you got hardware accelerated filtered triangle rasterization at least, so that's kind of a special case.

@Daytona675x

Just a mere copy paste from Amiga.org

Quote:
We need 300 (pre)orders ( = all boxes that are going to be produced) to fully cover all the costs (we were at about 100 yesterday). However, we just decided to take the risk and do it / continue even if only 150 are preordered, hoping that the rest is going to sell later...
Cinemaware announced that information on a1k.org already, I hope the other forums will follow soon.

Ok, my part is done.

Just ordered Wings Remastered.

I confess that I played the pirated Wings on my Amiga 500 back then. Will never do it again
