No more real than Russian politics, which apparently stoops low enough to interfere with our electoral process.
As I said, I like the Russian people, but not your leader who is a thug, who helped our leader (also a thug) get "elected" (by our Electoral College, NOT the popular vote).
As to "trolling", I'm not obligated to consider the status of "ppls living in the other part of earth" when discussing politics overall, OR the Russians in particular.
You can't equate yourselves with the rest of the world. Because the majority of us don't live in a country with a one party system ruled by a dictator who kills his opponents.
Your hacking activities are as much a danger to the rest of the world as is the North Korean program.
In the meanwhile, back to point, I can certainly see one part of your argument as valid, I MUST allow you your opinion on the subject being discussed (and, yes, at heart we ARE all just people). BUT, that doesn't mean I have to agree with it.
And, I DON'T believe that the fault in this matter belongs to AOTL. Only time will tell though.
In the meanwhile, if I've confused you with Putin, I can only ask for your consideration. After all, our countries (and countryman) have a hard time separating peoples from politics. |

During the last EIGHT (8) MONTHS.
The decision is made from their last eight months of aggregated experience with Aeonkit. Nothing external (as currency exchange rates). This is the time frame, not some single occurrence (of whatever) happening a few days ago.
(BTW, always funny to see how some of you are twisting blame around to point at the ones unhappy and leaving. You are so predictable! ) |

When talking about a danger to the rest of the world, don´t forget your own mess.
It is ironic, how their intentions back-fired on both great powers. US wanted friendly regime in Iraq... and Baghdad is now ruled by Iran-proxy. Russia wanted friendly regime in Washington... and got Trump. |

But the hacking activities of the NSA, CIA and the likes are fine? Tell you what: all nations/governments have their agenda which is from the particular POV of that nation may look okay, since [fill in your country] belongs to the good (tm) and all the others are rather wrong and evil.
That approach is way to simple.
But you're right: there are nice ppl in Russia, in the US and probably in every other country of this planet, but there are also stupid ppl in every country. Hence it doesn't matter from where an individual comes from - you are talking to him/her and not to his/hers government here. I don't blame you for Trump (who is very aggressive against Germany and it's econonomy which pretty directly affects me) or put it in front of a reply to you.
That said I also think it's okay to bring politics to a discussion (introduces some spice), but don't let it get personal.

Isn't that ALWAYS the case? I feel like I'm in a Monty Python skit some days.
Just wait for "Getting hit over the head" class.

Oh yeah, I'd never forget OUR stupidity. I'm surprised no one brought up the spying on the German government (or any other egregious activities).
But we're not prepping for world wide nuclear devastation (of course, we already HAVE that capability). AND, we were dumb enough to get involved in Afghanistan (after the Russian debacle, what were we thinking).
But we do appear ready to withdraw and abandon of friends, which personally I'd consider pretty f'ing dumb.
So...yeah, WE ARE also a danger to the world, just, at least in my opinion, a lesser one.
But it IS ALL screwed up.
SO, why would business differ from politics if its all bound up in human nature?
Oh, and thanks Zylesea, for reminding of this, and no, it wasn't personal (although I STILL want one of those damned Putin riding a bear barebacked statues ).Last edited by iggy on 28-May-2017 at 05:14 PM. Nice to know we're still talking computers here (specifically Amiga computers).
At this rate, I may owe one to Cloanto, as that version may be the only one I get to play with (can't get anyone to sell me a SAM460, have to have an X5000 shipped from GB, etc...).
And Cloanto's Amiga Forever package is still my favorite way to install UAE. Less "dicking around". |

Ask yourself the question : what happened to Amiga on the Lake's stock of Cyrus motherboards ?
Do they still have some and are just going to keep them or dump them? Did they sell the last ones just prior to the decision to stop selling Aeon products ? Did they have problems getting more which resulted in the decision to "not sell" A-Eon Products any more ?

The increase on AmigaKit's website was 2.36% for US$ priced motherboards . Not the end of the world price change. We are talking less than US$50.00 at the retail level . Last edited by Spectre660 on 28-May-2017 at 05:43 PM.

Both Wikileaks and Putin deny Russian involvement in the DNC leak. There are some that claim Seth Rich was behind the leak but he's not here to deny or claim responsibility.
Whatever the case, would you rather that Hillary had won? |

We're 60 posts later but all we have is speculation. I think it's annoying AOTL is so vague in their statement, but I hope the dusts settles so we can soon see what is lurking behind the clouds. |
The post from Amigakit in the other thread (see post 10 and also above here) gives a hint as to what may have gone on here in other words It looks like AOTL may have been supplying the X5000 boards without the required OEM Enhancer software.

Clearly they have had a professional stance and an ambition to support the Aeonkit computer plattform for a long time while grinding teeth in silence, but it seems like they felt enough is enough (of whatever caused their annoyance). |

but that doesnt suggest it was being supplied in the original OEM packaging which may be the issue here. Certainly something doesnt add up.
If you have a look at the ArsTechnica review and the photos, the machine supplied to the reviewer came with a copy of Amiga Forever, no mention of Enhancer disc or anything...
https://arstechnica.co.uk/gadgets/2017/05/amiga-one-x5000-review-uk/
From what i understand, the delivery of any new X5000 should come with an OEM version of the Enhancer software, certainly my own motherboard which i got from Amigakit came with a shrinkwrapped OEM version of the Enhancer Software and all other retailers are doing the same.

In a word, yes. That was the choice, and if I couldn't have Sanders, then YES absolutely. Rather than this pompous blowhard who is trying to enact tax legislation that will place a 35% burden on some, while entirely eliminating his (the alternative minimum tax).
You're damned right, I would.
Oh and Putin said they weren't involved? There's a surprise.

More to buy directly from the primary distributor? Could you stop being a mouthpiece for once and think about that?
Not to mention the added delay.
When US companies sell you goods, do they suggest you buy directly from us and have it shipped across the Atlantic, or do we open local offices or partner with a native firm? Take a quick look around before you answer that, because I already know how we set up businesses.
Again, its a global market. You don't reach it from one central point. That is stupid.
Then again, this is the British we are talking about.
So, how's that whole "service economy" idea working out for you guys over there? Who's building Minis and Bentleys again? Are you sure you actually won WWII?Last edited by iggy on 28-May-2017 at 06:43 PM. Last edited by iggy on 28-May-2017 at 06:36 PM. Last edited by iggy on 28-May-2017 at 06:34 PM.
