It is AmigaOne X5000 video time now....

Come watch me try and play Blastaway on my AmigaOne X5K!

This game was a hoot to play and I really enjoyed it.

@amigasociety

Glad you enjoyed it but it's a rather saddening video

@amigasociety

That looks like a giant TV set!

A web browser on half the screen?

Yeah that level design is a doozie. It kept tripping me up. Takes getting used too.

@Cheese

God, it IS saddening indeed.

That chair, and the belly, the beard, the euphoria. And the pitch. Did this Amigasociety dine on helium over the holidays?

The other day I was watching a video from some Amiga cult gathering, and there was this guy Steven Solie, apparently the sole developer of AmigaOS or something. The madman look, and the twitching shoulder.

And then the other guy, Trevor Dickinson: agitated, rambling, dancing to the sound of some inaudible rythm, with that creepy grin.

There's something disturbing about everyone who had been in contact with the Amiga for a prolonged amount of time. Like some neurotoxin or lead poisoning.

Anyway, cheers!
Blastaway! BLEEEEP! BZAAAP! BOOM!

@Hypex

Indeed. It is a 43" 4K TV I use in my office. I use it at 2K 2560x1440 for my AmigaOne X5K and makes for a nice large for these aging eyes screen to use.

I also use it for connecting my Sinclair Spectrums too.

Yeh the game is a fun one. I hope to keep at it and get better.

@amigasociety

Nice video and well done for highlighting what is a nice game to play. It’s clear the MorphOS trolls like Cheese are a little upset that their little clone of a platform had no new games to play with this Xmas whereas we AmigaOS 4 owners appear to have been given a number of good and progressive looking ones too 😉

Now if you will excuse me I’m off again to play H-craft 😉

@All

Thanks all for checking out the video. I enjoyed making it.

I hope 2020 brings more fun games and developments with AmigaOS.

Should be an interesting year.

Take it easy all.

@amigasociety

great to see you having so much fun playing Blastaway TJ! Just wanted to add that although the game is free please consider donating any amount you can afford to the author RETREAM (Simone Bevilaqua) as it takes an enormous amount of time and dedication to create such great games for our favourite OS so please support our developers so they can continue to create new games/programs for AmigaOS !

@outrun1978

I'm glad you don't get it. Do enjoy your X5000 and OS4.2! Don't ever change your mind; IMHO there's nothing more saddening than ppl becoming aware of their delusions...

@Cheese

If there is one thing that 2019 has taught me, is that I can be called thick and stupid over and over, but thick and stupid people will wear that tag with a badge of honour, and that thick and stupid people always win and end up having the last laugh 😉

Happy new year 😉
