After a long doubt and waiting, I was able to buy a sam 460 cr at Christmas.
I have waited years for the Tabor but it did not come ... til now ???
I am happy with he computer.
Now I have done a clean install of os 4.1 FE and update 1. Then the sound went through AHI perfect.
After enhancer Software installation I have no sound anymore.

I do not understand why this is because at the sound setting I can select the sound. He plays it but I hear nothing. the cables plug in correctly.

Was the sound working before the clean Install or were you not able to check ?
The Sam460CR does not have onboard sound so needs a pciex1 sound card.
If you did not check the sound before the clean install make sure that the sound card did not get loose.
Next you need to check these AHI settings in the Sound in Prefs .

i do have the soundcard and i did have sound before i instal the enhancer software.
I go now testing of my audio system is not broken, you never now. ( normal not )
My pciex audio card works with optical digital out, not with audio jack 3.5 mm out.

Have you tried deleting ahi.prefs in ENVARC:Sys/, and rebooting?

Check the sound isn't set to mute or too low in prefs.

When I owned a SAM460 lite, I had this happen after installing any software that had anything to do with accessing sound (movie players, mp3 players, etc.). I think I eventually did what Trixie suggested, deleting the ahi.prefs.

I assume that somewhere in the installation routine of some software, ahi.prefs is copied from the archive over your own ahi.prefs causing havoc. In good instal routines, it asks if you want to write over an existing file.

OK, i will try it.
When this not work i do again a clean install of OS4.1 and check of the problem is over and out.
than i now for sure where the problem is.

update from my side.
I have problems with my optical audio cable, in addition I still think that I no longer had any sound after installing enhancer software. I have now done a clean install of os4.1 and I have sound again.
What should I pay attention to when installing the enhacer software?

Check Sound in prefs.
Look at the volume levels and audiomode selected.
