Currently active Amiga magazines?

After seeing the beautiful cover of the most recently released issue of Amiga Addict, it made me think that I should be subscribing to at least one Amiga focused magazine that is still active, to support their efforts, and update me about any Amiga related news I might have missed online.

So, I'm asking which currently published Amiga magazine do you like most, and why? I guess I could make this a poll, except I don't know all of the names of currently published Amiga related magazines. I prefer printed magazines, but they aren't very practical anymore, so I'm not going to limit my choice to JUST magazines that offer a nice printed version for sale, and I'll also consider subscribing to any magazines that only offer online magazines as well. Now I need to go search for which Amiga magazines are still being produced to put them in the poll. Since I don't read or speak any other languages, I must limit my choices to only the ones that offer an English version of their magazine. Edit: Sorry I didn't scroll down the main page here and see the Obligement magazine. I can't change the poll choices now. I guess that one is free, so no subscription needed.

Which Amiga related magazine is best, and why?

Both Amiga Future and Amgia Addict are similiar in quality and content (although usually different content). Since Amiga Addict is available for a very small price in PDF format, why not do what I do and suscribe to the print version of Amiga Future and buy the PDF version of Amiga Addict. That way you are supporting two great publications with only a small additional cost. No need to choose just one.

Up to about 6months ago i sub to amiga future which was a great alround mag. Only stop sub as a bit of a drop in income and needed to catch up on some books, including amiga books that had come out.

They are a bit pricy the mags, i get it low print numbers etc, but wish the pdf version where a bit cheaper.

Tempted to get amiga addit to check it out.

Zzap!, of course.

Well, this might sound quite weird, but that's half true: I'm currently bringing the italian edition of the famous Zzap!64 magazine back to life, and since we'll be basically turning it into a multi-format retrogaming magazine, it will include a good selection of Amiga games and tools reviews. Italian speaking people may find further information here:

Thanks for the update. I will keep an eye out for it.

Any idea when you will be publishing again?

@amigadave

I currently subscribe to both Amiga Future and Amiga Addict.

In my view they are a bit different. Amiga Future I think is more focused on covering news and recent releases. Amiga Addict have more looking back attitude, and less news articles.

My vote did go to Amiga Future for content. But Amiga Addict is good supplement when you want a retro experience. Also Addict have a very easy readable english language, with Future I often sense the fact that it has been translated from german. Not that there are spelling problems, but I think the language somehow is richer in the Addict. But that is just my feeling, since english is not my native language either.

Edit: Just want to add. Amiga Future is currently running an campaign to get more subscriptions. They promise additional pages in the mag if they reach their goal of 24 new subscriptions before the 10.june. Look at the campaign status here.

I somewhat agree. Amiga Addict has a bit more "those were the days!" feel to it. But I like its zany humour, which I find refreshing compared to the Germanly seriousness of Amiga Future. The mags have different attitudes and that is great.

Thanks for all the replies, and I'm glad that "Pancakes" is not the winner of the most votes so far. I'll probably follow ktadd's advice above. I can always print out the PDF versions on my own printer, if I want a physical magazine to read, instead of reading an digital page on my screen.

Are there any other Amiga magazines that offer an English version, besides Amiga Future and Amiga Addict?

@amigadave

I’ve found the iPad Pro is a great digital dongle to read the latest issue of Amiga Addict. The iPad is great for this but I want to try the Kindle as well.
