Hi All,
Running OS 3.2.1 on my A1200 TF1230 excellerator.
Every time I make a change to the system or do a Cold boot my Commodities Library
gets corrupted. It changes size from around 7800 from my install file to around
21000. Crashes my WBStartup files and I have to go in and delete it and then
copy the original file from installs. Then Warm boot and everything is fine.
Any idea why this is happening? Would appreciate any advise.
Thanks
Brad Hansen

@Punkyclown

Sounds like a linkvirus. Better run an up to date virus checker. xvs.library + virusz are likely a good idea. They should be downloaded on a separate, uninfected system then run from write protected media or so. Or have system booted from known good install and then the original hdd scanned.

Hi All, the issue seems to have been resolved by removing "Write" from the
icon information tab.

@Punkyclown

well if you made the file not writeable, the virus can't change it. but doesn't mean there isn't a virus

@Punkyclown

Maybe snoopdos can tell you something, what is trying to write to the file.

@Mobileconnect

A virus could use SetProtection().

@Hypex

Only if the developer thought of that in advance

They wouldn't be very good if they didn't know about it. Then again. A virus writer writing a devastating virus can't test it on his own system or he would destroy his own work.
