software AROS   software AROS :  AROS One v2.9 ABIv0 32Bit
posted by AMIGASYSTEM on 3-Dec-2025 22:28:36 (297 reads)

AROS One v2.9 ABIv0 32Bit

After 8 months, a new version of AROS One ABIv0 32Bit is available for download.

This version has not undergone many changes in the Core, given the commitment to transition to 64Bit.

Nevertheless, there have been third-party software updates and many new features in the Operating System configurations.

Given that in the previous version of AROS One 2.8 there were some inaccuracies in the configurations and in the installed software, I strongly recommend installing AROS One 2.9 from scratch, naturally after first backing up your personal data.

As always, both the ISO version and the USB version are available to write directly to a USB stick of at least 8GB.

Important:
GRUB includes numerous options, the last one, ā€œSafe Modeā€, should be compatible with most PCs manufactured up to around 2010. For those that do not start in the other modes, you can try the ā€œnoacpiā€ solution to be added in ā€œgrub.cfgā€ after the entry ā€œATA=32bit nomonitorsā€, for example:

multiboot /Arch/pc/bootstrap.gz vesa=16bit ATA=32bit nomonitors noacpi

If you encounter any problems or bugs, please report them in this forum or on arosworld.org, where you can also get more information from the developers.
