There are some objects included in the archive, like the famous cow object. |

| I think those screenshots are from a BlizzardPPC with the WarpOS version of LWToy. They're quite old shots. |

That would totally rock but I wouldn't hold your breath...
Unless the new Amiga Inc. are very enthusiastic. I can't wait until the new site is available as it will hopefully answer so many questions - especially the one about future direction and if there will be an effort to bring programs back. Last edited by -Sam- on 24-Feb-2005 at 04:27 PM.

| I was hoping that someone would take a good look at the Lightwave source that was on the original OS 4 CD and make it work on the A1. From there things could be improved to make it more modern and then .... finally a good 3D rendering utility running in native mode on an A1! |

| Just sticking my nose into the conversation but....
If there was a focus upon a porting project of a RayTracing program shouldn't it be open source Blender which is reknown for being cross platform? It even has a 3d games engine.
It probably even outputs in Lightwave format if that is important to you.
All the menus and everything are non-native.
Ok. Going back to my happy place now. _________________ Leo Nigro, CTO Commodore USA, LLC Opinions expressed are my own and not those of C= USA. Commodore/AMIGA "Beautiful, High-Performance, Home Computers for Creativity and Entertainment."

Blender looks great, but it needs OpenGL (the UI is drawn with it, IIRC) _________________ La fortuna č cieca. La sfiga ci vede benissimo.

Before you get upset over the previous anti-nvz comments, what they're trying to say is that there isn't any Lightwave source on the OS4 CD. What is* there is the source to the Video Toaster suite, which has the main Switcher, Character Generator, ChromaFX, Flyer, and Editor software, but no Lightwave.
I have it all on my hard drive. Most of the Switcher is in 68K assembler. And there are -libraries- involved, so porting is gonna be dicey.
* Take that Bobson! and that and... oh, er, um, I'm okay now. Last edited by syrtran on 25-Feb-2005 at 03:20 AM.
